    For tax purposes I need both a P&L summary and a separate P&L detail report. I was audited twice and by bringing both reports (at that time generated by QuickBooks) the auditor was able to quickly analyze the issues and I passed the audit with no penalties.

    It is possible to create a similar report with a custom version of the transaction report but that's clunky. Xero should have an option to toggle between summary and detail for the P&L report.

    I have clients who insist on making multiple payments towards a single item purchase and I am unable to invoice them to pay through Xero; I have to arrange a payment outside of Xero to collect a partial payment. It would be very helpful to allow a customer to make a partial payment on an invoice but only if it is authorized by the seller at the time of invoice creation so that customers who are not approved for partial payments do not use that feature.
