Thanks for everyone's feedback on your experience with auto bank rec, here. The aim of this feature is to improve and build more efficiency in your reconciling your bank account, however we understand and appreciate feedback here on where users would prefer to more control and options, as well as the option to dismiss the banner.

Right now, as some in the thread have noted auto reconcile can be turned off for each of your bank accounts at any time. From the main Bank Reconciliation screen, click on the ‘Auto-reconcile’ settings button to manage your settings.

We're currently looking into more controls and settings for auto reconcile that may better suit needs shared in this thread, I'll round back to share more on this as it develops.

Why do I have to go via the email? I am already in Xero, why are "My Cases" not accessible from the front page, or even my profile? It would be great if I could easily access current and previous queries without having to find them in my emails.

Hi team, we thoroughly appreciate your support and feedback on how seeing more of the statement line details would be useful, saving you time and clicks when reconciling.

As we continue to develop the way you perform bank reconciliation in Xero our team have a close watch on the ideas we have in this space. I want to be upfront that at this time this isn't something we have planned but this is something our product teams will consider in future planning so I'll share if there are any updates here.

If you ACTUALLY appreciated the feedback, you would do something about it. It's infuriating that this is still not something that Xero considers to be a priority. I've been following and contributing to this thread since 2022 and the best we have been able to get from Xero is "...well, no, but maybe in the future...?" Why won't you listen to your customers? This is such a simple ask - its just a display tweak!

The most important information in the statement line is usually at the end of it, the bit that is always hidden. I've been asking for this since 2019. Its a bit frustrating to see that the statement lines in the Reconciliation tab are now showing some kind of machine-generated guess about what the purchase is, when people have been asking for ages for the full statement line to be shown. Can anyone explain why Xero is so reluctant to do this simple thing?

This has been an outstanding request for a long time. I first lodged a request for this in July 2019. I see they have now added a line in small text under the statement line to give some kind of indication of what the purchase is, BUT STILL DON'T WANT TO SHOW US THE FULL STATEMENT LINE.
