This is a logical function, that our other financial statement software solutions have as a bare minimum requirement for mapping. Ordinarily clients will have robust chart of accounts, that have been developed over a long period of time, with a subset of this in use - most often it is not efficient or necessary to map all accounts, where accounts with balances are most relevant or to assist us in drilling down quickly to the number we are looking for in the edit mode. Where you need to toggle between edit and not in edit mode while preparing financials, you have an increased risk of navigating away from the page and losing unsaved data - which can create large amounts of rework. This would be a minimum important function expected of the financial statement edit mode.
