I too feel that it is a critical piece that can help us in creating the financials in more efficient manner and less prone to data-loss with multiple windows opened at the same time. Right now in the Edit Layout mode it shows all zeros, hence, kind of useless information there. If it can show the account balances, it will be very helpful in mapping the accounts (esp in case of takeover clients - new Xero files with comparative info), and better presentation in less time.
