It is top of the UNBELIEVABLY STUPID list that Xero does not have this functionality.
As the CEO, I don't care about the minutia shown on the current dashboard; I care about:
Financials
Financials
And Financials.

Reporting - Please include a Year-to-date option in the "Compare with" drop-down.
Background - We regularly run Income Statements by month. I can choose a number of previous months which works fine but when I go to memorize a report that I use frequently, I have to update this "compare with" every month.
This would be useful in most reports that have the "compare with" drop-down.

Thank you for all your support on this idea and for sharing how the option to adjust the column width on your reports would be beneficial. We understand that in some reports the inability to adjust the column size could result in extra white space or longer entries not being fully displayed.
This idea has been reviewed by the Product team and has been moved to the ‘Accepted’ status. This reflects that this idea is not currently on our roadmap but it is a suggestion we will continue to monitor when looking at how we develop our reports.

I am not sure what to make of the fact that this is not offered out of the box. It is remarkable in that it is such a standard format. (Well, at least here in the US; not sure about NZ.)
