Hi community, thanks for continuing to share your feedback on this idea.

We appreciate wanting to hear more on where this is at and we'd like to update that we're just beginning to explore the future of Statements within Xero.

We understand the need for more control over what’s included in statements, particularly when invoice links or related actions don’t reflect the way your business work, or cause confusion for the customers receiving them.

This is something our team will be taking into careful consideration as that work develops.

We’ll keep you updated here as discovery progresses.

Hi Cassie - I managed to get the link removed by raising a ticket on Xero Central. Ask the Xero team to contact the product development team. They should be able to deactivate this for you.

This week, a new "Pay & Review" button appeared on the emails that accompany statements that are emailed to customers directly from Xero. I only found this out because I emailed myself a test statement and discovered the new button within the body of the email that I received. (You won't see it when you are setting up the statement to send, only your customer will see the new button when they received the email)

Like many of you below, I had removed the invoice links from the statement. This new button, cannot be removed. If your customer clicks on the button they will be taken to a screen where they can see all outstanding invoices, and the detail behind the invoices.

I don't know if this new feature has been launched on all versions of Xero, so I would suggest you email a test statement to yourself to check.

Xero, can you please make this feature optional and make it something we can opt out of using.

    Hello.

To get the 'Review and Pay' button/link on the statement email removed you will need to raise a case on Xero.

Ask Xero's product team to remove the 'Review and Pay' button from your account.

Unfortunately there is no ability to remove this functionality yourself.

Can you please make this feature optional for customers who use third party software invoicing and only use Xero for sending statements.

Please make this feature something we can opt out of using.
