This is a biggy actually. Sometimes you spend a lot of time chasing money with a customer, & they think they've paid, but they've only paid one invoice. If you set up an automated flow to chase the customer, then they get spammed per invoice too. Our 3rd party Dunnings agent is trying to upsell a package to implement this on their end, however I firmly believe it should be free & available from Xero. Xero is sending an invoice for a customer. Xero has all the details of that customer. The first option, & the best thing for the customer, should be to pay for all outstanding invoices. It removes so much friction from the customer then, saves them time, & saves the business too. It's a no brainer.
