    Hi team, we value your feedback here.

    While not directly within Xero we wanted to highlight that this capability is available through Syft Analytics. With Syft you can create categories or groups in a report layout and expand or collapse them dynamically while viewing financial reports.

    Syft Analytics is available as an add-on for accounting practices and customers on some Xero plans.

    Thanks again for your feedback and for helping us understand how this'd improve your reporting workflow, while it's not in our roadmap currently we're continuing to keep a close watch on the interest here for future planning. I'll share if there are any updates.

    Contrary to other user's comments, I'd like to be able to expand groups when exporting the P & L Budget Variance report so that rows display if they have had transactions in previous months, even if there's nothing in the month of the report.

    At the moment, even expanding the group in layout is not giving me all the rows when I export, only the totals (unless there's a transaction this month).
