Thanks for sharing this idea with the community. We can understand why being able to add specific wording to the client declaration would be useful.
This idea is open for voting and comments from the community, and we'll be keeping an eye on its progress to gauge interest.
In the meantime, while it's not possible to edit the declaration on the return itself, you can add your own custom text and disclaimers to a cover letter that you send with the tax return. This might help you manage the risk you mentioned.

Hi everyone! It's been great to see the appetite from many of our community here, eager to get your hands on Pay now for statements. 😊
We wanted to pop back in to confirm that this form is now closed. If you were eligible for the early release, you'll be notified in Xero from 19 August when roll out commences.
Don't worry if you didn't quite make it into this first pool, we'll be widening the drop of this great new feature over the next few weeks.
I'll keep you looped in on further updates here.

I would like to add my support to this idea. Often we have customers with multiple invoices outstanding and it would be more practical for them to be able to pay directly from a Statement rather than each individual invoice.
Anything to help us get paid faster can only be good!
