New to Xero from MYOB (unfortunately) because it seems like Xero takes a similar mediocre stance when it comes to critical 'bugs' / 'serious shortcomings in design' as MYOB does. Serious design flaws need to be rectified immediatly, not months or years later IF enough paying customers compalin about it. One paying customer is more than enough to trigger rectification of serious design flaws! Just get the problems fixed ASAP Xero! When I asked support they suggested manually keying in a 'new' invoice for the customer who has a complex monthly 30 line invoice (who wants a templated invoice early). What a joke! I figure over $NZ 1Billion in revenue should be plenty to rectify the critical design flaws I see on this 'enter your idea' page.

Thanks for the feedback and great to hear the use you find in repeat templates in Xero.

While there's no way to bulk update templates atm, you may find updating your templates through export & import of invoices more helps quicken things up?

You could export invoices that have been generated from your template to CSV, update the amounts in the exported file, and then re-import

This will create 'Draft' invoices in your Xero org from which you can create a Repeat template and then delete the draft. 🙂

We recently moved from MYOB to Xero, and its just like MYOB all over again with paying customers notifying about OBVIOUS problems with the software, and nothing gets done.

The post above from Xero suggesting that customers use export/import to update repeating pricing is a total joke; how about adding a simple tick box to product and service items to select whether you want an item update pushed through to the same items listed in repeating invoices when you press save?
Lift your game Xero or customers will be forced to look eslewhere for a proper accounting package!
Oh also, no phone number to call to escalate the issue, only an unmanned "product ideas" forum...
