Thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. We appreciate your suggestion for a Files widget on the dashboard with drag and drop functionality.
The community team has reviewed this and moved it to Gaining support, which means it's now open for community votes and comments.

Hi community, thanks for continued appetite in this idea. Though we don't have plans for adding Xero Documents (previously files) the the blue navigation bar, as per our last update there is the current keyboard shortcut to open, search and quickly select this from the Search results(press '/' and then 'f').
Further to this we are also developing a new Homepage widget that'll provide an overview of your documents and ability to take quick actions. I'll return to share more on this as the work progresses.
