    Thanks for sharing this feedback. We agree that email notifications for upcoming VAT return deadlines would be useful, and we do plan to address this in the future. However, we’re unable to provide a timeframe for when this will be available at this stage.

    In the meantime, the VAT homepage widget shows your next return due date, along with a countdown showing the number of days remaining until the deadline.

    If you’re a Partner, you can also use Tax manager to view a list of your clients’ upcoming VAT obligations in one place, including their due dates.

    I have come across various scenarios where the return period was changed without customer notification and by the time it was picked up, it was already too late. It would be very useful to have this function in Xero.
