I agree with the comments that the "pay now" feature isn't appropriate at all for invoices that will be collected by direct debit. We're using GoCardless for Xero and so the only way we can instigate the payment request is by issuing an invoice, which means customers recieve an invoice with the prompt to pay and then are concerned that there is a problem with their mandate. The whole point of GCX is to make the system seamless for us, but that's no good if it confuses our customers and makes us look like we're incorrectly handling payments.
