Invoice - Ability to move "Pay Now" button to custom part of email body
Invoice - Ability to move "Pay Now" button to custom part of email body.
Currently as first part of email, "PAY NOW £***" is displayed in the message preview in quite a confronting manner. Ability to move it to any part of the email body would make our organisation seem friendlier.

+1 for this idea. "Pay Now' is so passive aggressive and confusing. It's like someone's yelling for payments while the invoice is with set payment terms. Please fix this problem.

I find that Pay Now showing before they have even clicked on the email as quite aggressive and demanding - if this could be changed that would be appreciated especially as we do not subscribe to payment services.

Xero this is very disappointing that this has not been fixed. You have very loyal clientele and to not have fixed this after two years of complaints is not good.
"PAY NOW" is not a message we want to send to our loyal customers, who pay on time. This message is quite rude. Can you please make it a priority to have this message amended or removed please.

It would be good to be able to be able to adjust how the logo, amount or pay button sits on the email to be centered. At the moment it is left aligned and doesn't look the best

+1 this idea. We use Payrix for our recurring charges which integrates with Xero. The email from Xero says no action is required and all of that but then there's this big PAY NOW button that just confuses customers.
Having an option to remove the button for the invoice theme would be great.
We have another theme where the customer can pay manually so the button is needed in that use case.

As a matter of fact, one of the main reason I went with Xero was to simplify my invoicing process given that I use Stripe, but if this doesn't change, I'm gonna have to look elsewhere.
Not kidding.
Thank you for looking into it.

Please Xero, this should be an easy fix. It ruins any sense of professionalism for every invoice that is being sent.
I got into a habit of making sure to mention to my clients that I'm using XERO's automated service just to try to distance myself from that aggressive unprofessional button.

PAY NOW wording in email preview comes accross as passive aggressive - feedback from our clients directly. It should be such a simple process to change to 'View Invoice'.
Reduces confusion where direct debit is in place also.
Looks like this was flagged in July 2022 - come on guys this is low hanging fruit.
Thanks

There also needs to be an option to not include this on the email and invoice.
I agree with the comments that the "pay now" feature isn't appropriate at all for invoices that will be collected by direct debit. We're using GoCardless for Xero and so the only way we can instigate the payment request is by issuing an invoice, which means customers recieve an invoice with the prompt to pay and then are concerned that there is a problem with their mandate. The whole point of GCX is to make the system seamless for us, but that's no good if it confuses our customers and makes us look like we're incorrectly handling payments.

Absolustely agree, this must be changed, its very confusing for our clients who pay by direct debit and don't have to do anything when they receive an email with a pay now button, they think they have to action it!! I've even done it myself with a supplier who uses Go cardless!

'Pay Now' is so confusing for customers who have set up their direct debit with us already. Having just started with XERO I can foresee that my existing customers will be contacting me in droves to say that they have already set this up. In support conversations I am told that Xero can't tell whether a customer has or has't set up their DD already. But they can - this information is available in settings, so there is a flag in the system. To be honest it's obvious that there has to be a flag, it just needs USING to take this off where a customer already has their DD in place. The function of the invoice is merely to remind the customer of the date and amount of their next payment. This is a pretty fundamental bit of communication with customers and Sage already have this sorted. To summarise: if a customer already has a DD in place, they shouldn't see a 'pay now' button as their payment should already be automated.

I would add, that we should be able to edit the pay now to different wording.
In addition, we should be able to relocate the pay now button on the actual invoice , to a more sensible location such as under the total invoice amount.

PLEASE FIX THIS.
"Pay Now' is so passive aggressive, I feel like adding an apology with my invoices. So much about Xero can be edited, why not this?
When I reached out to Support with a screenshot of a Xero invoice I received from a supplier with 'view invoice' instead of 'pay now' I was told this is because they don't have a payment channel linked to their Xero account. Is this what it takes? Unlink Stripe?

How has this not been fixed yet? Just delete the word NOW from the button. Surely that's a quick enough fix for such a forward-thinking company like Xero. How about. FIX NOW

Fully agree that the "Pay Now" button is not very friendly, especially when the invoice is not even due for payment yet. Could at least change to "Pay".

Fix now
This is also a major concern for me. Having sent many, many invoices out I only noticed this recently. It really does make the tone of the invoice emails harsh and uncharacteristic of our business approach. Moving the button will stop the button text from being pulled through to the top line and provide a better intro to our clients. Please look into this as a priority. Thanks. -

Add ''Pay now" to the body of the email instead of the invoice
