Xero Product Ideas - Showing a greater Interest in these ideas
I feel that there is a poor level of dialogue from Xero on these ideas. For the top voted topics - I'd like communication as to what they're doing to implement a solution (and if not then why not).

We take ideas seriously and this does mean sometime may need to be put into evaluating an idea internally before it's position is updated in the community here. There are many factors that weigh into the product decision and development process that extend beyond the site alone and some ideas require careful consideration from multiple areas and people throughout the business. Where possible we will do our best to openly set expectation and you can use the Status of an idea to better understand it's position.

Xero Subscriptions - Split PDF invoices by client (not subscription type)
It would be great if Xero can change the PDF format of partner monthly subscription invoices by customer rather than subscription type.
This way the PDF can be forwarded to our Xero Blue practice file as a draft bill and hopefully the AI will extract each customer subscription as a separate line item within the bill so we an easily assign each line as an expense to each individual client.
Then the billable expenses will come through correctly when we raise sales invoices in XPM that integrate with our Xero Blue practice file as a draft invoice.

Pricing Plan - Increase the limits of Bills in Starter Pricing Plan
Dear Xero
I'm a user of your Standard business plan and happy to pay for this service, but also a user of your Starter Plan for another business in another country and it has some limitations which really need attention for small business owners who don't do much accounting.
The limit of 5 bills a month has to be increased to at least 10 which seams fair for a small business. I don't see the value of your price increase for basic features we need.

Subscription Invoices - attach as pdf
We receive an email each month with a link to the invoice, which we can then print to a pdf to download & attach to another email to send to Hubdoc or Xero Bills.
Many businesses have a 'do not click links' policy.
Please attach the pdf invoice to the original email to save all your users those extra clicks.36 votes -
Xero central | My cases - Ability to search previous cases
Being able to search prior support cases via a 'search' function would be very time saving. The process of scrolling through prior cases is very time consuming.
Searching only by Open/Closed cases isn't overly useful.

Subscription - Create copy of a client
Possibly create a live copy of a client in order to seperately monitor in instances when a clients profile has been taken over by someone else

If you suspect a clients account has been hacked this would something we'd really recommend contacting our Support team on to validate credentials of their login and confirm any suspicious activity.
Alternatively, there are tools like the History and notes and Assurance dashboard and permissions to manage users to keep a track of who's able to make changes in an org and their recent activity.

Subscription Option - Multi-currency as an add on
Add the option for multi currency to other subscription types.
Currently the only way to use multi-currency is to upgrade to the Xero Established/Premium or Ultimate pricing plan. For a sole trader that doesn't need all the extra features of those plans, that is a minimum price increase of over double the starter plan.

Pricing Plans - Add Xero Expenses App to the Basic/Starter plan
to be able to add expenses app without having to upgrade the subscription to standard- most traders dont use Xero and we keep as managed client- but they just want the expenses app to keep receipts out their vans - ability to have expenses without the rest of the cost of upgrading to standard - lets keep costs down for folk.

Starter Plan | More flexibility of bill and invoice limitations
A number of small companies who will never increase business due of the nature of their business for example a property management company who looks after an apartment block. These companies never reach the maximum number of invoices in a given year, however may go over the limit if they invoice on a quarterly basis. Also the companies by their nature may have over 5 bills in any given month, they sometimes get 5-6 bills for electricity/gas plus other maintenance invoices in a given month. AU Payroll: Add Payroll as optional extra for starter plan
PAYROLL AS AN ADD-ON IN AUSTRALIA
Please allow payroll as an add on in Australia. The very basic plan is enough for most small businesses and sole traders, but the jump in price just to add one apprentice is prohibitive. I feel small businesses and tradies are not catered for well. We often don't need all the bells and whistles, but just something basic. To pay my apprentice via Xero will cost me an extra $360/year which is ridiculous.

Customer Support - More direct way to get help
The contact details / help required for Xero NOT our contact details should be on the first page. It should not be up to us the client to have to read through various lists of things. We should have the ability to immediately send an e-mail or in some circumstances be able to speak with a human being straight away.
A lot of times a two minute phone call will sort something out that takes several e-mails back and forth and this means a lot of wasted time.1 vote -

It's not possible on the platform itself currently, however if you select the option to 'Export my data' from your Settings and Activity page you'll receive a few files, one of which is a CSV of all the ideas you've started and the URL to be able to view these online

Xero to accept direct debit payment of subscriptions from clubs that have dual signatories on bank accounts
Our club wishes to purchase Xero but Xero have no system in order to accept subscription payments from clubs who have dual signatories on their bank accounts. They only offer direct debit with one bank signatory or debit/credit cards. Neither of which work when you are a club/charity who must have financial accountability to their members/community. I have suggested an automatic payment and supplying them with a direct debit form with both signatories but they have declined both. I find this incredible. Surely there is a solution here? We can't be the only club/charity that has this situation. Are we?

Pricing plan - Invoicing + Projects for a sole trader
I am a Sole Trader who contracts my time. I would love to see a cheaper 'Invoice & Project Tracking' option for the likes of myself with the following features:-
- Project Tracking - to create invoices
- Unlimited invoicing - for said projects
- Spend money
- Bank feeds to receive payments & spend money transactions
Okke software has a great basis of this without a Track Projects feature & it is not a smooth flowing product, I love Xero, but $39/mth for only 20 invoices is not not justifiable & I certainly cannot afford $69/mth for unlimited invoicing & projects.

Small Performing Arts Business Discount
Small emerging creatives in the performing arts fields, such as bands and musicians, currently are unable to afford accounting software such as Xero, and as a result, often struggle with managing their finances effectively. Especially given the devastating impact of COVID-19, I feel it would be incredibly useful to provide a Xero subscription discount to eligible small and micro businesses, such as the one currently offered to Football Clubs.

Xero Billing: Allow American Express as a payment method
We don't have a mastercard or visa, only an American Express card. I'd like to pay by AmEx like a do for a lot of our other vendors. Can you kindly arrange that?

Pricing Plan - Plan base for 15 employees to suit AU 'small business'
In Australia one of the criteria to classify as a "small buisiness" is to have 15 or less employees.
Could this also be reflected in Xero's pricing which jumps from 10 employees on payroll to 20.
It would be nice to have a meet half way mark with a fair price for 15 employess.
