  1. Xero NZ doesn't accept American Express cards as a subscription payment option. Xero in Australia does, why is Xero NZ behind the ball on this option. When you are a platinum partner paying for client's subscriptions, the lower limit on Visa isn't a workable option.

  2. I can no longer comment on the original idea

    what I would like is a button on a support case which allows me to create a product idea linked to the support case, so i don't need to copy and paste the entire case history into the product idea

    Aah I see what you mean now, and appreciate you sharing more detail, Anna.

    In terms of the original idea, you can reply directly to the email update you received about the status if there is extra detail you'd like to share with the team - In this case I've merged your original idea with this one to keep the information all together.

    We don't have immediate plans for this, but will keep considering how we improve their efficiency when engaging and sharing feedback. We'll track the support here and share if there are any updates. Thanks

  3. As a 1-man business I only need limited features, but the Project feature is one of these that feels essential to my line of work. It is only available in the highest pricing plan and is not available as an add-on. This appears to price out small businesses who want this feature. Please consider allowing this as an add-on, even if it isn't to be available in different pricing tiers.

  4. Please allow adding on an extra employee for payroll in Australia, as is possible in the UK.
    The Ignite plan is enough for most small businesses and sole traders, but the jump in price just to add an extra employee means paying more than double, which is cost prohibitive.
    Most businesses don't need the add on and accounting tools when you move up to Grow or Comprehensive - allowing for an extra payroll add on for a small charge, would be beneficial for family and small businesses.

  6. Re-instate the option to pay for additional people on payroll without having to jump subscription tiers.

    As a small business, every dollar counts, having to jump $25/month or $40/month to add a person to payroll hurts, especially when the additional features are unnecessary.

    The UK has already reinstated this option, it should be reinstated here too. (Not entirely sure why it wouldn't be other than the fact not as many people would have offered feedback here in AU comparatively to UK.

    In a capitalistic world, it would be nice to see you on the front foot Xero, show your care…

  9. At the moment when you go to Organisation Settings > Subscription and billing (e.g. https://go.xero.com/Settings/ManageSubscription), it says "Change plan and update credit card details Managed by XXXX"

    If we are XXXX - we don't see either of those things, only a button to take us somewhere else to Manage the plan.
    If we are not XXXX - we don't see either of those things.

    How dumb?

    Just show the Xero subscription/plan so we know what it is.

    Hi Sam, appreciate you sharing this idea — we understand where you're coming from.

    Being able to quickly see your Xero subscription plan from within your organisation’s settings would definitely make things easier. Having to jump to a different section just to check your plan or see what features are included isn’t ideal, especially when you’re trying to make quick decisions.

    At the moment, this info isn’t shown in the Organisation Settings, but you can view your plan by going to My Xero from the main menu and clicking on the Subscriptions tab. That’s where you’ll find your current plan and any add-ons.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. If this change would make things simpler for you, feel free to vote or leave a comment — your feedback helps us understand what matters most and where we can improve.


  10. Things like tax returns change fairly frequently. Not all new features are entirely self-explanatory. Xero Support's Articles are simple and aimed at giving new users basic information, but often lack the detail to be used as an ongoing resource.

    I'd suggest adding changelogs to Xero Central Support pages/articles for existing products that have been updated.

    For example the IR6 tax return has changed in the 2025 year to match tax law. Estates are still able to use the 33% tax rate in their first 4 years, but the return defaults to the 39% rate.

  11. Cheaper subscription for businesses not doing well.
    We have a start-up company that has struggled with sales, and one of our biggest ongoing costs to keep it afloat while we wait for an economic turn around is our Xero fees that have gone up recently to add insult to injury. When you have lots of transactions it justifies the cost but with just a few a month, if any, it’s really painful to keep paying out the same fees. Perhaps a “low transaction” or “company making a loss” or “hardship” reduced rate to help struggling businesses?

  12. A lot of the promo stuff Xero has been putting out recently contains animations (for example, there's several currently on https://innovations.xero.com/ including the banner). These animations cannot be paused. For people like myself, this is an Accessibility issue, and it fails WCAG success criterion 2.2.2

  14. When we receive communication from Xero regarding a case query, it is necessary to log into Xero again to read the answer
    This is time consuming and annoying- would love a fix for this.
    Is there a way to view the answer and perhaps log in when we are ready to respond?

    As you're possibly aware, Xero doesn't currently have specific features for Nepalese businesses, so for now we'd suggest using the Global edition.

    Hi Zachary, it looks like there is an integration with Mechanic desk available. If you've already integrated this with your organisation and looking for further capabilities to what it offers we recommend reaching out to their support directly (listed under the additional info section of the Xero app store).

    As they designed and built the integration they can confirm what's possible and would need to make decisions of if this is something they'd be willing to expand their integration for.

  18. When we go to the apps directory, and click on an app we are interested, they are usually associated with an external company. For instance, Crypto websites that consolidate our crypto transactions, then can be imported into Xero.

    But when I go to the information pages about the apps, there is no link I can find to the actual website of the company. There are usually links to support, or social media.

    Please go one step further and just put in the official website.

    The reason for this is because sometimes we are researching what services actually connect with Xero…

  19. There isn't anywhere in Xero where we can add brief feedback. This would be helpful to have in the help menu please.

    For example there is a new issue after the new updates on invoicing - this feature would allow a quick notification to Xero that something needs fixed or we are super impressed with new changes! It takes too long to add something to product ideas (like now), to be ignored or gather a lot of voters before something is fixed. Same with raising a case, most of the time it wont be a fix, we get directed back…

    Though there is no direct way to leave feedback in the product atm, there are now many ways our team's are surfacing in product messaging to updates users of a change and request feedback especially through staggered releases.

    We'll continue to consider how and when is best to engage with customers through Xero and will keep a watchful eye on support for your idea here.

    Hi everyone, returning from my last update I wanted to confirm that we have released generative answers in Xero in app help for all customers.

    We appreciate this isn't a direct live chat feature that is being asked for in this idea and will move the status back to Submitted, however we'd recommend giving this a try when you're next looking for an answer while working in Xero.

    This feature takes into account what page you’re viewing, and the version of Xero you use, to do the best to ensure that the information provided is relevant to you.

    Live chat is not something we have planned at this stage but if any steps are planned toward this, we'll let you know here.
