Pricing Plans - Make Xero Projects available in the lower tiers of the new pricing plans
With the new pricing tiers coming in September 2024, Projects is only included in the most expensive tier. I currently pay for it as an add-on on a per user basis. With just two of us, this is cost effective. From September, if I want Projects I will have to pay for the top tier, a 30% increase to retain the features I use! Please make Projects available in lower pricing tiers.

I have a builder that was encouraged to start using xero for the projects ability so they could track their costings and estimates. He has no employees and is just starting out. Having to upgrade to the "Ultimate 10" is really hurting him. How is Xero assisting small businesses when they do something like this.

A business with only 1 employee and only needs Projects for 1 user shouldn't have to pay for an 'Ultimate 10' plan that includes projects for 10 users.

Projects should be a standard feature for all subscription types. Sole trader and small businesses need even more efficient ways to manage projects!! We don't have staff to assist with any tasks. As a sole trader in a consulting business, I am responsible for producing all the project outputs, in addition to doing all my own admin, IT, payroll, bank reconciliations etc. The list is endless. Xero is ignoring sole traders and small businesses by not including Projects as standard in the lower tier products. Not every business wants or needs to GROW staff to be successful. Xero you really need to step up and do better on this one. Please support small business!! Large businesses pay a relatively small subscription fee compared to sole traders and small businesses.

We have a similar situation. Our business will be moving from 'Starter' with Projects as an add on up to the most expensive tier. This means our plan is going from $57.50 to $113 - nearly double! Very frustrating for a company that says it supports small business!

Xero seems to have significantly increased its pricing plans effective next week, with reduced flexibility. I am a small social enterprise, currently on the Premium 10 plan, yet when I look at the new plans, they seem to have options for up to 5 people, but the options for 10 people (my current plan) or more jump considerably. To retain my current features will result in a 28% increase! That's HUGE. Projects is now an automatic add-on, not something I want as it is not very effective and should be retained as an opt-in, additional charge.
Xero doesn't seem to do much to support small business. We don't have the budgets of large companies, and need the flexibility to choose what functionality we need, and to only pay for what we need. To make Projects as standard, when there's basic functionality lacking and not offered by Xero (such as being able to make part payments against Purchase Orders or Bills).
Please sort out your basic functionality and spend less time making things look prettier! Particularly given the significant price hikes you're imposing on small business.

Totally agree. Projects needs to be available on the lower tiers. Not all users of Projects are large businesses. This is a substantial cost increase for clients currently on a Standard subscription with Projects.

I plan to use Project soon but with the NZ economic downturn, I am trying to reduce costs. This will make it too expensive so I will have to use other software.

I agree this is forcing our users into a higher plan that is not needed. The project feature allows our Smaller contractor business to collect valuable information about their work, the only problem is that when you only have it on the higher level plan it makes the system so expensive I know my user will look at another option.
Please consider adding the Project feature to at least the next level down.
This is critical to their decision making.

@Xero please make Projects available as an add-on for lower price plans! -

Agreed. I'll be leaving Xero if this isn't done - I am a designer who needs to track time. Just as I'm sure many thousands of your other users are. It's insane to force me to jump up to the premium tier for what should be a basic feature included for free.

I absolutely agree with this. My needs perfectly align with the "grow" price plan, except for the fact that I need Projects. However I can't justify paying an additional £26/mth for it! When I don't need any of the additional functionality of the top tier price plan.
@Xero please make Projects available as an add-on for lower price plans!

One of the draws of Xero was Projects. As a £5 add on-to the Standard plan @ £30, a small increase of maybe £5 a month would be acceptable for the same plan, but with te new plan structure we're going to be forced into paying almost double what we were for several things we won't use (multi-currency, payroll, analytics, expenses and mileage)!
Please keep Projects as an add-on to our choice of business-appropriate plan.

Xero Projects: as an add-on feature for both Early and Growing Tiers for users who are happy with their tier, but would appreciate the functionality of that Xero Projects offers.

I am a Sole Trader who contracts my time. I would love to see a cheaper 'Invoice & Project Tracking' option for the likes of myself with the following features:-
* Project Tracking - to create invoices
* Unlimited invoicing - for said projects
* Spend money
* Bank feeds to receive payments & spend money transactionsOkke software has a great basis of this without a Track Projects feature & it is not a smooth flowing product, I love Xero, but $39/mth for only 20 invoices is not not justifiable & I certainly cannot afford $69/mth for unlimited invoicing & projects.
Appreciate your time.
