Hi community, appreciate your feedback on the new GST return and detail of how the Publish feature is useful to you. While we don't have immediate plans for developing this in the new return, this is something we're monitoring and will consider as a future improvement. If there is any change around this we'll share this with you all through the idea here.

But lets face it, the powers that BE at Xero are just not listening to us.
Its such a shame we have to fight for a feature to be bought that we have used for years and now all of a sudden has disappeared.
PLEASE XERO - can you reinstate the publish feature for us.An error occurred while saving the comment Diane Mayhall commentedI do not think this should be considered as a FURTURE IMPROVEMENT. It was already a feature and you made it unavailable. I think this is a fix that should be done to restore how it was.

This is not something that should have been changed with under a months notice.
The GST report is now so large it is cumbersome, AND you have removed the publish option and clearly we use this as part of our system for our clients in one way or another.
PLEASE CONSIDER A PUBLISH BUTTON prior to the end of the monthAn error occurred while saving the comment Diane Mayhall commentedAs part of our system we publish the return - without this we cannot go back to the published return if it has been changed.

Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;
- ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
- ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
- the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack
For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address? is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?
Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?
Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…
Diane Mayhall supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Diane Mayhall commentedMore over a charge in my opinion should not apply if the document pack is cancelled as a result of this not being available where proof can be given that a new document pack is also raised.
I myself have many cancelled document packs and have then been charged for the new document pack for the same items.
As this feature was compulsory (as the signing in PM was no longer available) which worked find and was free of charge) i would suggest that consideration be given to have flexiblity and only charge when the document pack is signed would make more sense. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Diane Mayhall commentedI agree this is forcing our users into a higher plan that is not needed. The project feature allows our Smaller contractor business to collect valuable information about their work, the only problem is that when you only have it on the higher level plan it makes the system so expensive I know my user will look at another option.
Please consider adding the Project feature to at least the next level down.
This is critical to their decision making.

This is urgent as far as i am concerned as i am having to run the report for staff and then send it to them.
What an absolute waste of time.
As security is paramount with Staff levels this is critical to have changed so we as the Advisor are not having to run reports for our staff.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

AND we get charged for it.
We have no option but to use this and have to pay.
Outragous.
I wonder how many times we need to bash our head against the wall before this is looked at.
I love Xero but DO NOT like what is happening to our trusted reliable Platform that we build our systems around.
