We operate in a province with separate GST and PST reporting requirements. Xero presently lumps both sales taxes into one line item which is going to be a nightmare in any forensic or audit scenario. We need a separate line item for GST and for PST in Saskatchewan, Canada so that they can be tracked independently as they are applied very different (one refundable, one non-refundable, one applies to everything, one applies to most things).

Hi team, we appreciate the interest and feedback through this idea.

As some may have seen we have released the ability to quick view bills from the list view, from which you'll see a Tax rate breakdown shown beneath the subtotal of the bill. Like you're after here.

Right now, we're also redeveloping the bill View and Edit pages. These'll also adopt the experience from quick view in which you'll be able to see a breakdown of each tax rate.

When released, if creating a bill from scratch all you'll need to do is click Save to update the page and be able to view tax amounts by tax type.

I'll come back to confirm once this is rolled out.
