    Thanks for sharing this feedback. We agree that email notifications for upcoming VAT return deadlines would be useful, and we do plan to address this in the future. However, we’re unable to provide a timeframe for when this will be available at this stage.

    In the meantime, the VAT homepage widget shows your next return due date, along with a countdown showing the number of days remaining until the deadline.

    If you’re a Partner, you can also use Tax manager to view a list of your clients’ upcoming VAT obligations in one place, including their due dates.

    Darn, I just missed my VAT deadline by 2 days.
    I accept, it's on me, it's my responsibility.
    But the fact that Xero doesn't have a reminder to help us with compliance is staggering. I thought that's the purpose of good software, to help us do our jobs well?
    The only accounting system I've ever used that doesn't.
    Come on Xero
