    Hey community,

Thanks for all your feedback on this idea.

As you’ve found, users could bookmark reports and that bookmark would work across organisations. However, this caused some strange behaviour when navigating between organisations in bookmarked reports.

By including a unique Organisation ID in the the new report URLs, the data displayed is consistent with the organisation the report was bookmarked in. The result is that users can navigate away from a bookmarked report, without Xero updating the organisation.

To be transparent here, this was a deliberate change, and there are no plans to re-implement book-markable links to reports.

Allowing for exported excel reports to have an option to open hyperlinks. For example, being able to open the ledger of the expenses of a line item from the Profit and Loss statement, or being able to open the Aged Details of a customer by clicking on the link of the Aged Summary excel report, or being able to open the invoice by clicking on the link in the excel of the Aged Details reports. This would allow for less back and forth between an excel file and having extra tabs open to view the same report in Xero. The links would require you to be logged in to Xero first to view the information as to not allow unauthorized access.
