Reporting (UK): Include tax dates as reporting date option
When running reports, for the date range within the drop down, have 'last tax year' and 'this tax year' as options. Similar to the this and last financial year.
Makes running reports for dividends, trivial benefits, payroll etc, much faster and better flow of information for accountants and clients.
Should be a simple task for xero and will have a positive impact on all users.

Report Templates - Add Tracking summary report
add more reports into report template, for example payroll report and tracking summary. Thank you.
106 votesHi team we appreciate the feedback and interest in adding the Tracking Summary report to Report Templates here. Being upfront this isn't something we have plans for.
However, we've made a recent update to enable you to adding a custom Tracking Summary report to Adviser packs which may meet some of the needs here.
I see there's also been mentions in this thread of users that'd like to add payroll report to report templates and I wanted to highlight this idea that I'd recommend adding your vote for if of interest. Thanks!

Reports - Report showing a list of suppliers and average supplier payment days
Xero already calculates the average number of days a business takes to pay each supplier (you can see it on individual contact records under "Bills"). But there's no way to pull this into a single report across all suppliers.
This matters because the UK Government's Fair Payment Code (which replaced the Prompt Payment Code in December 2024) requires businesses to provide evidence of their payment performance from their accounting software when applying for an award.
The Code has three tiers: Gold (95% of invoices paid within 30 days), Silver (95% within 60 days, with 95% to small businesses within 30…
11 votesHi Libby, appreciate you bringing this idea forward. We understand the ask for a dedicated Supplier Payment Days report that could be useful for businesses that need to report on payment performance or support Fair Payment Code applications.
The idea is to provide a report that shows how long it takes suppliers to be paid, without needing to export data and perform manual calculations.
We've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this would be valuable for your reporting needs, please add your vote and share more detail about how you'd use it.

Claude - ability to connect Claude to multiple organisations
The functionality of the Claude connector is poor, can this be improved to access multiple Xero businesses and permit data requests at a more granular level?
11 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea and adding your feedback.
We understand why being able to connect Claude across multiple Xero organisations could be helpful, particularly for advisors and bookkeepers who work across several clients or entities. The idea is to allow a single Claude connection to access multiple organisations, removing the need to reconnect or switch between organisations when working across different datasets.
We've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this would be useful for your workflow, please add your vote and share more about how you'd use it.

Profit & Loss report | Custom - Ability to format formulas
When using a custom Profit & Loss report in a set of Financial Statements, you are unable to format formulas to be in bold or underlined. It would be beneficial from a visibility perspective to have these in bold, so they stand out as formulas.
Can this be updated so to enable formatting at this level.

Reporting - Ability to change the presentation or base currency at a report level
Ability to run detailed transaction and other reports translated to another currency.
When you are running a multinational business, the ability to convert all data back to 1 currency for reporting is invaluable. Though the entity may trade in one currency, being able to report in another is also important.
Also, looking at the detailed transactions for analytics is important but difficult when it's in a foreign currency. Having a multicurrency TB for export/import and reconciliations would also be handy.
10 votesHi team, we appreciate all the engagement so far. We understand that when you’re working with multiple currencies, being able to view and present reports in a different currency can make it easier to communicate results.
At the moment, report currency is tied to your organisation’s base currency, which means you can’t switch the presentation currency directly within a report.
For now, these reports and spreadsheet exports can help bridge the gap when you need converted views for reporting. We’re continuing to track interest here and share it with the team.
We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so others can add their use cases and help us better understand how this feature could add values.

Reporting - Header and footer customisation
Hi Xero Team,
We are in the process of registering Xero as our Computerized Books of Accounts with the BIR. In line with this, we would like to share some suggestions that may help Xero meet the BIR requirements.
For report generation, it would be helpful if the footer could include:
The type of book,
A timestamp and date,
The name of the person who generated the report, and
The software version number.
At present, the footer only shows the date and type of report. Adding the generator’s name, exact time, and version number would make the reports more aligned…
31 votesThanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes you would like to see to the headers and footers of your reports. We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it.
Please note Xero operates on a continuous delivery model, which means we're constantly updating and improving our software. Unlike traditional software Xero doesn't have version numbers or release dates so we are unable to provide this information.

Receivable Invoice Detail - Top Customers report to exclude overpayments
Suggested improvements to Receivable Invoice Detail - Top Customers report.
The definition of this report is attached. It provides a list of sales invoices and credit notes by contact.
If a customer has an overpayment on their account, the report incorrectly treats this cash payment as a sales credit note and reduces the customer's sales figure by the overpayment. Please can this report be corrected to only include sales invoices and sales credit notes? Thank you.

Profit and Loss - Present accounts in order of value
Our board have frequently asked that our management accounts/Profit and loss etc is displayed not in alphabetical order but in order of value. Currently, I manually change the order but this takes far too long.
6 votesHi Liz, thanks for your suggestion. We understand that being able to sort Profit and Loss lines by value could make it easier to highlight key income and expense areas when reviewing reports.
For now, you can use Edit Layout in the Profit and Loss report to manually reorder accounts and customise the report layout.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share your feedback with our teams.

Account transactions report - Option to group by MONTH
Account Transactions report - add functionality to group by MONTH so that there is a visible break between the data / transactions shown between (for example) January 2026 and February 2026 (if the report is run for the period 1 January 2026 to 28 February 2026 in this example).
7 votesThanks for sharing, Deon. Appreciate how this would be useful for your business and getting an overview of transactions within a period.

Transition period for non UK organisations - managed financial year end
Can the transition period for change in financial year date be added to companies that are non UK organisations as well. we have a group of companies that all extended their financial year but i have only been able to use the transition period in UK organisations. Why is this not an option in non UK organisations?
16 votesHi Claire, thanks for raising this. We appreciate you sharing the want of having the transition period feature across all the regions while it is only currently available for UK organisations. Your idea is now in Gaining support status, meaning our community team have reviewed it and it's open for community support through votes and comments. We encourage others who would benefit from this to add their votes and share their use cases to help us understand the broader need.

Navigation - Restore ability to favourite "report codes" in the reporting menu
One of the key steps in preparing client financials is to ensure accounts, especially newly added ones, are assigned to the correct report code. I had the favourited on every client in the old navigation for quick access as it's something I need almost every time. It'd like that back.
17 votesGreat to get your feedback here, Chris. It'll be good for us to get a sense of interest from others in community that also found this Favouriting of Advanced Account settings useful.

Reporting - Profit and loss report to show transactions including and excluding GST
Can you raise an enhancement request for the P&L report to give 2 options- Includes GST and Excludes GST to give an option to the user(similar to the current option of Cash or Accrual)?
If a user selects "Includes GST ", a new line item gets added showing the GST account, else default option is "Excludes GST " meaning no change to the current report.6 votesThanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you Nelson!

Account transactions report - Add a Reconciled column
When running the account transactions report, it would be nice to add a "reconciled" column when looking at bank accounts. This would make it much easier to identify which transaction is a duplicate or an error that has not already been matched. I know I could run the "Bank reconciliation" to view the unreconciled transactions, but with a client with high volume with integrations creating multiple invoices that are outstanding for a later deposit, this can be messy to review, and I would prefer just seeing everything in the account transaction report.
5 votesThanks for your feedback here, Amanda. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at present but will begin to track interest from your idea.
Good to hear you're aware of the current option available. If there are any plans around expanding the Account Transactions report to surface this information we'll be sure to let you know here.

Tracking Report (new) - Add a summary option
New Tracking Report has no summary option - the existing summary option will be retired in November meaning more work will be involved in manually working out the summary balance for each tracked item. Please give a summary option similar to "old" report that is being retired.

Flexibility to select what reports are included in a report pack, e.g., Payroll Employee summary
Flexibility to select what reports are included in a report pack, e.g., Payroll Employee summary
Hi Team.
I’m struggling to understand why Xero hasn’t resolved this issue. What technical limitation prevents certain reports from being included in a custom report pack, especially when other reports in the same reporting window are available for selection? The process doesn’t seem particularly complex, so it’s unclear why this remains a problem.Since the reports are generated individually and not merged, it should be possible to allow users to include whichever reports they need in a custom report pack.
Given the substantial subscription cost,…

Reports | Payroll - Monthly breakdown option in reports
It would be great to have the option to present all reports in month-by-month format. It is possible with P&L and cash summary reports using the compare to function, but impossible for payroll reports. Thinking this could be really useful for STP finalisations and payroll reconciliations.
3 votesHi Jess, thanks for highlighting this improvement.
We can see how a monthly breakdown (or comparison) within payroll reports could make it easier to review trends, compare payroll costs across reporting periods, and support management reporting.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this is a feature you'd like to see, please keep voting and share how a monthly breakdown would support your reporting workflow.

Reporting - Show date/time stamp when report was run in header of spreadsheet
Currently, It prints TITLE, COMPANY, DATE/ PERIOD. Please can you add to DATE/ PERIOD 'as @ TIME OF PUBLISH'. This would solve issues where I am looking at two identical spreadsheets but am unable to tell which is up to date.
6 votesThanks for sharing this suggestion — we can see how adding “as at time of publish” to the DATE / PERIOD would make it much easier to tell which published spreadsheet is the most up to date when reports look otherwise identical.
