Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adding your vote to this idea! We totally get how important it is to keep your customer contact info accurate and up to date. An automatic update feature through invoicing sounds like a great way to save you some valuable time.
Right now, if you send an invoice to an email that’s not already linked to a contact, you’ll need to add that email manually in Xero. The current setup is designed to be flexible so you can send invoices to multiple emails without changing the contact record. But we can definitely see how this feature would speed things up for you.

Appreciate you raising the idea, Emma. To round back and confirm current functionality - If needing to send emails for invoices to multiple customers at once you could use the email feature from the contacts list view - See our Xero central article for detail on this.
If it's something you'd commonly do you may like this article in helping you set up email templates where you could create and save a custom template that you'd use when sending an overdue invoice.
It'd be good to hear if there is detail that this method doesn't help you resolve, that we can share back with our product team.

Hi everyone, I'm pleased to share that we're moving forward with the ability to schedule the send of an invoice from Xero.
We're in the early phase of releasing our new invoicing scheduler to customers, and appreciating the direct interest you've all shown here we've included everyone that's voted on this idea in our initial rollout!
You'll see a tool tip on the invoice page for email scheduling, and be able to choose the right date/time when you go to email an invoice (from the send email dropdown). 😊

We appreciate there are asks within this idea for being able to schedule the send of other document type such as payslips and want to be upfront that this isn't in the roadmap at present. However, once our invoice scheduler is out to all, we'll be monitoring it's use closely and consider how this…

This would be ideal for sending invoices and also payslips especially for when travelling as network issues don't always allow me to log in.

Hi team, we appreciate the interest in a duplicates warning for sales invoices. This isn't something we have in the works at present but will continue to track the appetite around this here.

I would like this feature also
We have auto reminders on for invoices. One of our NEW customers didn't have an email address in the contact details. So a reminder wasn't sent.
Sending a manual reminder would be great for these 1-off type issues.
