Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback and we appreciate you sharing your sentiment here. We’re continuing to evolve the Homepage experience to better meet more of our customers’ needs, and your input is a big part of shaping those improvements.
One of the strongest themes in the feedback has been widget sizing. We’ve now released resize options for the Tasks, Invoices owed to you, Bills to pay, and Net profit and loss widgets, in addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out widgets.
For the small size Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets, once you’ve saved your Homepage, you’ll also see an option to toggle the chart on or off if you’d prefer to focus just on the figures.
There’s more updates in the works, and I’ll keep sharing further updates with you here.

Months of comments below and nothing has improved - very disappointing.
This will continue to alienate those of us who used to think positively of Xero as our 'go-to' cloud accounting solution.
The lack of interaction from Xero on this forum is an example of what not to do when it comes to customer service!

Please provide the option to go back to the old layout. This new layout is very poor.. I've been using it for a month and it's simply woeful compared to the old dashboard. Of course Xero never listens, so I'm back shouting into the void.

@Chris Curlett - how do the products compare? For a lot of us, a move away from Xero would be complicated.

@Avei - I recommend raising a support ticket with Xero and letting them know about this thread and encouraging Xero to engage. If everyone did that maybe enough attention would be paid. I've raised a ticket a week ago and have highlighted how active this thread is. The more people that contact Xero the more likely they are to do something about this.

I recommend raising a support ticket with Xero and directly referencing the feedback here (a link to this page). It seems that they're not monitoring or communicating via this forum.

I'd suggest it's time for Xero to actually survey their paying customers and see if they actually want to keep this very poorly designed home page. This product ideas page does not give a clear impression of how the majority of people feel. I think it's fair to say from the comments below that most commenters hate the new home page. Is Xero listening?

@Kelly Munro This new homepage update is such a huge step backwards. It really is very inferior to the previous layout - from a usability point in particular. You have received loads of feedback (many many comments below) on how bad this update is - it really should be possible for your users to choose the old layout while you work on improvements.

The new dashboard layout is disappointing. The previous layout is by far my preferred. Simple and easy to access all the information I need. The new layout appears to be a significant step backwards.
Also, usability when moving around and resizing widgets in poor. Just aligning all my bank accounts in a column on the far right is a feat in itself.. each time you drag a widget to the left, an existing widget on the left then pops out to the right. The layout is cluttered and blocky.. maybe delay the rollout until you can improve on what you had before? -

Hi everyone, thanks again for sharing input on widget placement on the homepage.
As mentioned in our last update, once you Edit Homepage and Save the layout this will be saved for that screen size. If you change screens a prompt is also surfaced to explain that you may want to reset and save your layout.
While we don’t have plans to allow vertical stacking at this stage, we're improving the edit experience. This will make it easier to see how changing a widget's position shifts other items on your screen. I’ll let you know as soon as this is released.

Hi community, we'd like to share an update as we've released new size options for a few more widgets. In addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out you now have the option to Resize the following widgets;
- Tasks
- Net profit or loss
- Bills to pay
- Invoices owed to you
Along with this release, once the Homepage is saved and when the Small option is selected for either Bills to pay, or Invoices owed to you widgets, there'll be the option to toggle the chart on or off from the Homepage.
We'll be extending Resize out to more widgets soon, so I'll continue to keep you updated here.

100% agree with recent comments - Xero, please let us access the old home page. The new home page is hopeless! Xero - are you listening?
