Hi team, thanks for feeding back on my last update, it's good to hear how the contrasting has or hasn't helped solve needs for differing users.
We appreciate further context of your needs here and want you to know this is something our team have still been looking into.
We now have a piece of work underway that when released will show borders around widgets on the homepage 🙂 Though I can't give timeframes for this as yet, I'll keep you looped in on further updates for this here.

Keeping a border around each widget makes the screen feel cleaner and more structured. Borders clearly separates each widget from the background and from other widgets. This prevents everything from blending together and looking cluttered. It's easy for the eyes to scan the layout. Without borders, users rely only on spacing, which can sometimes feel messy.

Hi community, we'd like to share an update as we've released new size options for a few more widgets. In addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out you now have the option to Resize the following widgets;
- Tasks
- Net profit or loss
- Bills to pay
- Invoices owed to you
Along with this release, once the Homepage is saved and when the Small option is selected for either Bills to pay, or Invoices owed to you widgets, there'll be the option to toggle the chart on or off from the Homepage.
We'll be extending Resize out to more widgets soon, so I'll continue to keep you updated here.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback and we appreciate you sharing your sentiment here. We’re continuing to evolve the Homepage experience to better meet more of our customers’ needs, and your input is a big part of shaping those improvements.
One of the strongest themes in the feedback has been widget sizing. We’ve now released resize options for the Tasks, Invoices owed to you, Bills to pay, and Net profit and loss widgets, in addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out widgets.
For the small size Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets, once you’ve saved your Homepage, you’ll also see an option to toggle the chart on or off if you’d prefer to focus just on the figures.
There’s more updates in the works, and I’ll keep sharing further updates with you here.

The current live homepage design feels overly flat, with limited visual separation between sections. In contrast, the “Edit Homepage” view uses clear card-style borders that significantly improve layout clarity and make it easier to distinguish between different widgets.
Retaining those borders — or introducing a subtle version of them — in the live view would improve scanability, reduce cognitive load, and make the dashboard easier to navigate at a glance.
At the moment, the lack of defined boundaries causes sections to visually blend together, which impacts usability, especially when quickly reviewing financial information.
