Thanks everyone, we understand the interest for being able to pass on credit card and payment service fees to your customers.
Atm, as some of you have noted - if you're using or set up Stripe as a payment service for your organisation you'll have the ability to pass processing fees onto your customers. This'll be included in the Invoice total when the customer clicks on the Pay now button in your invoice - you can read up on and follow steps on this here.
- You can also use an advanced invoice template to show this on the invoice to your customer.
Outside this service, while not automated there are ways to represent and pass on fees to your customers;
- Add detail to your invoice payment terms so this is clear to your customer
- If there is a default fee that'd be charged you might like to set this up…

The AI mode in Xero and especially its payment service provider Stripe are so smart, however at time moment, Xero does not or can not set up automatic processing fee based on domestic card or international card to apply right processing fee. It's not that difficult where they define immediately payment country card when customer key in card number. I saw the country flag next to Origin in Payment method, Transactions of Stripe. That means they know very clearly card origin to apply right charge, no need manual adjustment in Default setting, Online payment.
must be automatically define by the system which one is domestic, which one is international and apply the right rate. No need manual set up each time as we have customers all around the world. Xero and Stripe know country origin from the moment customers key in their card number
