Hi everyone, there’s been plenty of great discussion around this idea, and we get how being able to copy bank rules would take a lot of repetition out of setup work.

It’s something we’d like to make happen, but with other priorities in this space right now hasn't been something we can add to the roadmap yet.

It may come to life as part of the ongoing improvements in the Bank Reconciliation area, and we'll defintiely let you know here if there's any progress.

Would it be possible to have a bank rule that section 1 and 3 as it currently is, but section 2 Payee has a condition section with a kind of 'If, then' option with a list of 'if/then' for each applicable payee.

If text contains 'employee A' then Contact 'employee A'
If text contains 'employee B' then Contact 'employee B'
If text contains 'employee ID' then Contact 'employee C'

I know there is an option to pull the payee from the bank statement, but in my bank feed it very annoyingly leaves the payee blank, and puts the name, reference and description all in one long text string in the description box. The search for payee on bank statement doesn't work then.

At the moment I have created close to 40 bank rules so that each payee has their rule. and with no copy/paste, it was a lot of work to repeat the search condition, description, account for the same information over and over.
