    I’ve noticed the same issue. It seems like a small delay, but when you perform dozens of searches a day it really adds up. Restoring instant keyboard focus would make the workflow feel much smoother. It's similar to the idea that reducing tiny points of friction can improve consistency and performance over time, which is something discussed here as well: https://m1performancegroup.com/.
