    I think this is a critical function of Xero projects and cost control generally. Other accounting software have this functionality so it would be great to see Xero follow suit. This is really important to stop people booking time to the wrong place, to spot missing fees, and to also ensure that projects remain on budget. Not so keen on archiving but having subjobs or sub categories may help keep what can be seen at the top relevant

    Being open we don't have any planned changes for your idea here, however it'd be good to get a sense of interest from others in community that'd like to price projects in this manner.

    We'll keep an eye on this here, and share if there are any updates.
