    Hi team, while we appreciate the interest this idea is slowly gaining we want to be open that this isn't a feature planned for the time being.

    We will continue to get a sense of the interest from the community around this and share if there are any changes to update you of.

    This is critical to us. The feeds from our bank bring across everything as a really long description and an unhelpful reference. We set up bank rules to pick out the relevant bit from the description and it would be so helpful to be able to post this custom text as the reference.
    To keep consistency we have to refer to previous transactions or an external look up list.
    Not being able to define the description defeats the point of having the bank rule.
    It can't be that difficult to add the option of entering a user-defined text in the bank rule to populate the reference field.
