Add the new functionality to add an overdue amount to an invoice
I'd like to recommend add the new functionality in Xero to add an overdue amount to an invoice.

2 votesHi Anna, when you say overdue amount would this be when sending an invoice to a customer and only showing the amount left to pay? If so, this is already possible with the email the customer receives and you can adjust the body of the invoice email to include the Amount due placeholder.

Quotes - Make 'invalid account' warnings appear in a new window
When entering a quote, we have to enter an account code for every line of a quote. If we type one in incorrectly (for example entering code 2000 instead of 200), then Xero opens a link to add account codes. The problem is that this does this in the same window. You cannot go back to your 38 line quote that you spent nearly a half hour creating because Xero didn't open a new window, no they put the link to new account codes in the same window as the quote. Bank Reconciliation - Available balance including Overdraft
In the bank account settings, add an optional data field to enter in the Overdraft limit on a bank account. Then on the dashboard screen, show the net available balance of current bank balance + the undrawn Overdraft limit.
Purpose - to save the user from having to manually calculate how much is available to make supplier/payroll payments or login to internet banking prior to check.
Should also be a simple feature to add.

Dashboard- Take a mobile Photo

When I quickly want to take a photo of a receipt using mobile, I have to go through several clicks from the Dashboard: Purchases | Files Inbox | Take Photo. Which is frustrating. Can't you put a button on the dashboard [Take photo]?2 votes -

Invoicing - Create a Credit Note from a Paid invoice
We raise an invoice to a client.
They pay it.
Then for some reason, something changes.
We need to raise a credit note against that invoice!I know I can create a new one from scratch but I want the history with this particular invoice and all the other details that I have already typed into it.
What I DON'T want - is to delete the payment, create the credit note, delete the allocation of the credit to the invoice, then reapply the original payment.
It is not an option within Xero to 'copy to draft' and create a negative…

Bills - Customisable payment receipt/remittance including bank payment details
Bill pdf – to have a print function to print a Payment Voucher for Bill created via a template which user can customize and must contain bank payment details
of supplier which is input in the Notes under supplier contact (see 1a above). This is to allow us to send the payment voucher manually to boss for boss to do the manual payment to supplier.
Boss needs the supplier invoice details and the supplier bank payment details in supplier masters (see 1a) as well as a footer of Prepared by; Approved by and Acknowledge receipt on the

Quotes - Bulk send
Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.
2 votesAppreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.
We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.
You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

Batch Payments - Export file in a Santander-compatible format
The repsonse to my support case was to be told to post the bug here... seems a weird request, but sure...
"The best way to get our product team to consider this would be to create a new product Idea on this, which is submitted to our product team who then go ahead and make changed based in priority."The santander batch file does not follow the santander format. In the past Santander used to accept the file anyway but they have now started rejecting it.

Report - Add/remove highlighting from main drafts report page
We used to have the option to add/remove highlighting in a text box directly from the main page of draft reports, however this feature was removed and now we can only Bold/Italics/Underline/Bullet point, but no highlight.
It would be great if we could add this function back in, so we didn't have to go to 'Edit Layout' to change add/remove highlighting anymore.

Repeating Invoice - automatically calculating days of the month in the qty field
Repeating Monthly Invoices:
Can we have a feature where monthly invoices have the ability to automatically calculate the days in that month based on the date in the "next invoice date". Therefore it doesn't need to be manually changed. Eg Monthly repeating invoice. next Invoice date - 1 November 2024. Qty - 30

Invoicing - Import with Sent status
Make it possible for imported invoices to be marked as sent when importing them.
Perhaps an additional column in the template Mark as sent status "Y for sent N for not sent"
If this is not possible the ability to bulk "mark as sent"
this would eliminate the issue of individually opening each invoice to manually "mark as sent" to activate the auto invoice reminders2 votes -
Navigation - Adjust the clickbox surrounding the checkbox to modify the checkbox, not act as a link to edit the bill
Often I will be selecting the checkbox on a number of bills, and I will misclick and click on the surrounding whitespace of the checkbox. This currently is acting as a link and opening the bill for edit; which means if I just spent my time selecting a number of bills (Usually checking them off one by one while I review some details on another screen) that now my previous selections have now been lost.
Change the surrounding whitespace clickbox to select/unselect the checkbox rather than linking to the edit bill. At the very least, just make it not link…

Purchase Orders - Update the Send Email options
Purchase Orders Send Email Features.
This is to request the Product team to please also update the Send Email settings for the Purchase Order to make work efficient and clear to multiple recipients if they are only on CC.
Attached the screenshot of the latest update Xero had made for Invoice Send Email in which the CC and BCC is in the sending option. It is very helpful for the multiple receiver where in the business communication, we need to CC multiple emails than putting every email in the sending to space.2 votes -

Access levels
Would like to be able to add users with only access to invoicing, without them seeing any other part of Xero. This would be a huge benefit so I can have team members invoice customers without seeing company financials.

Invoice - Set defaults for adding Billable Expenses
When creating a new Invoice and you want to add some billable expenses that you have assigned to the contact in the Bills section, I want to be able to give my clients an itemized bill, the new invoicing option is defaulted to add all items as one line.
We default to all invoices as itemized, Yes I can select this as an option but would like the ability to select the other as the default option.
Maybe Xero could create a custom option cookie that would allow customers to select some default settings that make there Xero work better…2 votes -
