  1. When I am manually entering a contact bank account number, I find it disconcerting to be warned to enter the bank account number after I leave the BSB code field. But I HAVE to leave the BSB code field in order to move to the Bank account number field! Leaving the BSB field is not a mistake!
    I think the warning would be better triggered if you attempt to click on 'Save & close' without completing both fields.

  2. Ability : To have a function within contact to block raising purchase orders to an individual supplier.

    Purpose: To ensure no future orders are placed with suppliers, who we may have had issues with previously. Easier to have a function that would automatically flag this, as opposed to placing note within contact and relying on all to find this information.

  4. We use multiple Statement templates, each of them containing different stages of Credit Control progress. When sending these the Contact Notes are only updated with 'Statement', and not the Statement template name that would give historical context to a Contact on how we have progressed debt.
    Can you update the Notes to include the Statement Template name, and include an option to make further notes against that activity?

    Thanks for your idea, Joe. To better understand the use case and maybe help others who'd be after the same connect with your idea here - Are there any scenarios or situations you generally find when viewing a contact and wanting to view the very next or last contact in a list? 

  6. I create new contacts all the time, often while creating an invoice. I usually only have a few details on hand to start creating the contact (name, email, phone number). So I flick between windows, copying from one and pasting into Xero's "create new customer" dialogue right there on the invoice edit screen.

    It's the phone number I have the most trouble with. If there are any space characters in the (usually mobile) phone number I have copied - and there pretty much always are spaces when copying from an email or whatever - then nothing will paste into the…

  8. When viewing a contact, the options to "add group" and "remove group" are two separate functions, making moving a contact from one group to another very clunky. This request is to combine the add/remove feature, so you can simply select/unselect which groups a contact is in. This would mean that to move a contact from one group to another, you would simply deselect the old group checkbox and check the new group checkbox.

  10. It would be handy to be able to customize the view screen on the contacts screen within Xero. Ie add additional columns - a payment column? It would be a lot easier to have a visual of payments received rather than having to click on the invoice or run a statement against the client to see when payment was last received / paid. It would also be handy to have an item column that includes payments. As well as an option to reconfigure the column order, Ie. Date in first column.

  11. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

In Xero, under All contacts, would be great if we & please add had more columns or choices to add certain column of attributes of the contact showing if they are in a group, and possibly a last action date of last transaction, so that any can be easily Archived, when they haven't been accessed in a long while.   13. Allow the contact's account number <ContactAccountNumber> to be included on Branding Theme invoices (and other documents).

  15. Ability to show customer credit limit on the landing page of a GROUP (In this instance Credit Client)

    Purpose - Users can easily see the credit limit along side the contact name and the headers "You Owe" and "They Owe" Providing a snap shot to avoid the need to click into each individual account to check their credit limit.

  16. When you view a contact, and are on the activity view page, it would be great if the each line said what account the activity has been posted against. This way you could see all accounts impacted at once, and not have to click on each individual line item to see what account it is impacting.

  17. Now that you cant attached docuemnts from files to a contact like you used to I have to download them from the files screen, but before I can download them, I have to click on them to preview first. I have to do this for 4 documents right now.
    I would love to see the below made available in the files screen:
    1. Have download available in the three dot drop down.
    2. Have the three dot drop down options available in the preview screen

    Hi Fiona, hoping you may have seen my recent update that we have now developed the ability to upload files to a contact record from the file library.

    Appreciate your idea is still valid also and we'll continue to track the demand for this here. If there's any further changes around this, I"ll let you know. Thanks

  18. Contact Cash Activity Report that shows all contacts and can show both individual transactions or a summary (total).

    It would be more efficient than having to select each contact individually

  20. During the creation process, we should be allowed to update all fields necessary on the Contact record.

    Example I have at the moment is one of my customers needs to set their clients details within Xero so they can invoice them correctly. At the moment we can't use the API to set the Website field.
