  1. Classic view invoicng compared to the new view invoicing. The new version shows figures entered as 123456789.00 but Classic View correctly shows 123,456,789.00. All figures should be shown in 123,456,789.00 format. It's accounting after all! This is not a suggestion, this should be a bug fix, especially before new invoicing is enforced.

  2. Increase the character limit for product/item codes from 30 to at least 50.

    Our suppliers use a minimum of 8 characters, up to 12 characters. We use 4 suppliers regularly, which all use different SKU's; This means we can have 36 characters for standard products, even more if there is a supplier we don't purchase too regularly from or if there are 2+ similar products that get grouped under one item.

  3. Since the option is there to amend a PO once it's been approved would it be possible to add a requirement for POs where the value has been increased to have to be re-approved?

  4. Would it please be possible to increase the amount of attachments that can be saved against a bill. At the moment it will allow us to attach more that 50 items but when it saves it only saves the first 50 and removes the rest.
    I realise there are ways round this eg by attaching an e-mail with multiple items attached within it, but it's then more time consuming when trying to find specific attachments

    Interesting to know you're attaching so many files to bills, Jenni. Out of curiosity can you share why you need to attach so many files to each bill? And, is there a # that would suit how many you'd often attach?

  5. Currently one can only post 50 lines in an invoice. It should be unlimited as some clients have at least 200 lines or more depending on their line of business.

  6. When previewing bills in 'awaiting payment' or 'awaiting approval' there used to be up and down arrows to cycle from one bill to the next or previous. The arrows have been removed from the interface with no plans to bring them back.

    Previously, we could review the account and GST coding of each bill, as well as having the attached invoice open to the right, including the abillity to review the Xero ocntact bank details by clicking on the contact name. Now, without the abiity to cycle between bills easily, it means we need to close each bill before clicking…

    We appreciate wanting to see more rapid movement, everyone. Having done a lot of exploration into this area our team have a good handle on the needs to solve this, however we want to be honest that development will be some time away with the team currently focused on improving bills list views and updating add/edit bill pages. For the time being to keep you up to date we're going to move this idea back to Submitted until more active work takes place for this.

    I can assure you this idea is the best place to be leaving feedback for this feature, and Xero Product Ideas as a whole is the best place to be sharing where you'd like to see change across Xero products. As a community team we're advocating on your behalf constantly to see where ideas can be worked on, and this site is where our product…

  8. We raise an invoice to a client.
    They pay it.
    Then for some reason, something changes.
    We need to raise a credit note against that invoice!

    I know I can create a new one from scratch but I want the history with this particular invoice and all the other details that I have already typed into it.

    What I DON'T want - is to delete the payment, create the credit note, delete the allocation of the credit to the invoice, then reapply the original payment.

    It is not an option within Xero to 'copy to draft' and create a negative…

  10. When you export invoices, it gives you multiple lines for any invoice which has more than one line. It is therefore not possible to easily total up the amounts due because some invoices are on there multiple times meaning the values are overstated.

    Hi Stewart, is there a way you see the export being more helpful for you. For example would you be looking for a summary of each invoice? The Receivable Summary and Detail reports maybe useful for this sort of view and can be exported.

  11. Being able to name planned dates would make it easier to manage payments when multiple users are setting up different types of payments on different dates.

  13. Enhance the Duplicate Bill Review screen by enabling direct click-through access to individual bills.

    When reviewing potential duplicate bills, it would be helpful to click on any listed bill to open and inspect it directly. This allows users to quickly identify and resolve issues—such as an incorrect reference number—without having to search via another screen. After making corrections, users should be able to refresh the Duplicate Bill Review screen to confirm whether the duplicate warning has been cleared.

  15. On the Profit and Loss report there is no ability to show percentages, if tracking categories are used as a filter. We want to see COGS as a percentage of trading income, and Net Profit as a percentage of trading income.

  16. Ability to see Header rows and side columns on all screens when scrolling

    As per Microsoft Office where the top and side ribbons remains static.
    e.g. When you're in the Dashboard and scroll down it would be good if the top ribbon is static. It makes it easier to select another item (business; accounting; contact etc) without having to scroll up.

    The same with Bill Payments; Invoicing; reports etc where the top ribbon and column headers - see attached - would remain static as you scroll down the list.

    The same as when you might have a lot of columns…

  18. Sales tab - Love the "Billable Expenses", Needs to be above Quotes.
    Need to be able to not bill them where I have a project invoice. Just assign the customer.

  19. The highest Xero subscription allows you to make 10 bill payments through Crezco and then you pay a fee per bill. This is a pain, as I now have to approve each 24p fee.
    Please can I buy Crezco payments upfront?

  20. When a new invoice is created, have the reference number auto fill from saved data. Just like you can save what sales account and tax to use for a contact. I have customers that give me a blanket PO for the year and I use it on every invoice I create for them.
