  1. I would like to evaluate cash flow by project. To be able to see when cash was received and payments made for each project. It will be a useful tool to manage a project and decide when to invoice and to know when we are funding projects from our own cash. At present there isn't a report which I can run to see cash flow by project. Could you please consider building one. Thank you.

  2. Pls can you consider providing an option to view all Debit balances as positive values and all Credit balances as negative values (in brackets) on the Chart of Accounts as well as accounts on the Dashboard?

    That way it's immediately obvious if a balance is owing TO the business or BY the business, without having to first determine if an acc is set up as an asset or a liability on the Chart of Accounts.

  3. Send multiple invoices together on one email to the same customer with one 'pay now' button (e.g. for Stripe payment) rather than sending multiple emails which seem like spam to clients !

  4. Current options in the "Standard - Edit Branding Theme" exist to add details/terms in certain fields that show only on (Invoice and Statement) or (Quotes).
    Two additional options for maximising a field for Terms for (Purchase Orders) and (Remittances) would complete the set.......pleeeeease!!

  5. Bills entered that are receipts/paid tax invoices (and accounts can't confirm they have been paid/what bank account they come from) should be able to be marked in awaiting payment with custom names instead of due dates.
    Instead of picking a past date to clear them from awaiting payment their should be an option to store it as a 'receipt' or 'direct deposit' to ensure paid invoices etc. are not double paid.

  6. Feedback - Projects: Reporting - Bills assigned to a Project

    This is providing feedback on the new feature released in response to

    Unfortunately, the issue has been closed for comments - which seems strange as this feature release is clearly a start and not the end of the road for this topic.

    1. Most businesses have a large number of suppliers (& bills) that are overheads related and not project related. As such, these need to be omitted from the view to useful…

    Thanks Daniel, and really appreciate your feedback in relation to the recent release and update of the idea you've linked - Feedback you share on our Status updates also get back to the teams involved so they've received your comments there too!

    Not meaning to cut the curb the conversation, but we do sometimes need to make tough decisions of when to change the status of an idea.

    It's great to get a fresh sense and understanding of interest in further improvements to this feature that our Projects product team can consider development for.

  7. After sending out an Invoice and it has been paid, it would be useful if that invoice could have an additional status, indicating (1) that the goods have been "despatched", then (2) later as "delivered"

    Similarly, on a Bill, After the bill has been paid, it ships, and it would be useful if the bill could be marked as (1) shipped then (2) later as "received".

    And in both cases, there is an associated shipping document, such as Air Waybill Number and associated shipping agency. The AWB can be further enhanced to provide a link to the tracking service provided…

  8. Ability to show opening stock & closing stock closing amounts in the P&L on a monthly, quarterly etc basis.

    A function to allow to pick a Balance Sheet code or P&L code for stock and specify what balance to report in the P&L or trading account. ie. when running May 2023 monthly reports, the ability to specify that the opening stock is the stock on hand balance at 30 April 2023 and the closing stock is the stock on hand balance at 31 May 2023.

  9. When using the new Avalara auto taxes, the options are now show every line item tax rate, even if it's except. This is not right. Tax Exempt lines should show Exempt, just like they did with the manual tax entry. My clients are confused why every line item shows a rate rate, even if it isn't being taxed. In the business AND accounting world this is not right. Only items that are being taxed should show tax rate.

  10. It would be really useful if Bills autosaved to Drafts - as happens when you enter an Invoice. Because Invoices are autosaved, you are in that mindset and can often forget that you have to click Save or Approve for a Bill to be logged.

  11. It would be very useful if we could upload any supporting documentation for invoices or bills as attachments in Hubdoc. At the moment, I upload the invoice in Hubdoc and then have to add any supporting documentation in Xero directly.

  14. Make an invoice pdf downloadable from a mobile device.

    I get invoices from a supplier via email but it's only viewable as a PDF on a desktop, this stops me from being able to send the invoice to Dext.

  15. We would love to be able to send a remittance advice direct from Xero which includes the Reference that the supplier has asked us to provide. We are having a lot of trouble with suppliers failing to match payments which is time consuming for everyone.

    It would be a really easy fix!
    And even better, would be when exporting a file to BACS, the Reference requested by each supplier should be included on the relevant line, not the global company reference that is currently exported. (not quite sure why it already works exactly like we want when you only export…

  18. GoCardless offer Subscription Templates and the processes by which customers can sign up for them are simple and effective.

    For my company offering Boiler Service Plans it would be great to use GoCardless to sign customers up, but then have Xero keep a record of Invoices and Direct Debit Payments.

    I see it working like this: A customer visits our website and picks the Subscription Template that suits them. They click to set up a Direct Debit Mandate via GoCardless. That GoCardless Customer is matched to an existing Xero Contact or a new one is created. GoCardless then generates monthly…

  20. Including the AUTO lookup feature for sales tax in the Mobile App would make the product usability much better in states such as Colorado. To create invoices at "pop-up" events in various tax jurisdictions is crucial so you don't have to remember to continuously load new rates for complex destination /home-room rule situations. The "usability" of the app would be increased rather than being tethered to a computer to manage.
