  1. Ability to have multi-currency for inventory in Xero.

    Purpose: To make invoice and purchase tracking easier, because this feature will allow users to enter different currencies when they’re buying and selling the item.

  4. Would really appreciate the ability to export expense claims for an individual employee for a defined period which shows which are billable to a client and those that are not.

    Currently the Expense Claim Detail report only shows aged (unpaid) expenses and the Account Transactions Report shows all expenses whether paid, unpaid or submitted, but doesn't differentiate those that are general expenses from those that can be billed to Clients (Customers).

    Hard to believe we are the first small business to request this functionality.

  5. When we create quotes we do not want the individual cost to be sent to the client as we may increase or decrease price depending on actual needs. Therefore I would like to send a quote with all the products/services itemized but not individual cost just a TOTAL?

  6. When purchasing product from clients we issue them with a hand-written Buyer Created Invoice on farm & then need to input this into Xero as a bill payment. But this doesn't show that it was a buyer created invoice. Please can this option be added

  7. Draft Bills - BULK add Due date when bulk approving.
    - need to use when creating RCTI's from purchase orders. We have the option to bulk move from Purchase order to Draft Bill, but then must open each one individually to apply the due date so that they can then be approved.

    Another alternative is to add a 'due date' field on the screen when choosing to transfer the Purchase Orders to the Draft Bill page

  8. Ability to create a separate proforma invoice function which allows you to make part payments against the proforma invoice, before being able to convert it to a sales invoice.

    Purpose: Users can easily manage part payments before sending their sales invoices to their contacts.

  10. Customer Name / Customer Account number - To import invoices the main criteria for the import file is the customer's name. We work with properties where the owner details change on a regular basis and we use the account number (which is also the erf number) to process invoices. Can a it be changed to give users the option to either use the account number or name as the main criteria for the import file instead of just using the account name.

In Projects I would like the option to create a quote, track and invoice my client where the charge is per "session" Currently Tasks are either fixed price (which does not allow me to quote for a quantity of the same item over the course fo the project) or they are hourly based and my client does not wish the time spent to be shown on the quote or invoice. My situation is that for example my client approves 40 weekly sessions over the course of a year at £250 per session. Neither I nor my client wishes to show…

  12. As a DE User we would like to be able to upload a file to the bank creating the direct debits associated with subscriptions or payment plans. (The converse of the supplier payment batch file.)
    The functionality exists already, including the space for the client's BSB and Account number; and the capacity for "strip invoicing" so this should be a relatively quick and easy job.

    Hi Brett, separate actions in them self but it is possible to Approve multiple invoices at once from the Draft tab. When actioned you'll see a message from which you can 'View invoices' and multi select to Email. 

    Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now - Is there a common scenario, or specific reason you'd like these actions as one? It'd be good detail to share back with the team.

  15. The ability to flag a customer as "purchase order required". We have a growing number of customers who won't pay us unless we put a purchase order reference on the invoice. It would be good if we can have a flag in the customer that says they require a PO and therefore when we raise an invoice to them it pops up a reminder message.

    Appreciate the feedback here, everyone. As noted in my last update - we released a notes feature in the contact record that enables you to add editable notes (up to 4000 characters) that are visible when viewing the contacts record.

    At this stage, we don't have any plans around pop up notes similar to what's being asked on this idea, however understand this is really what's needed to help solve for your idea here.

    For now, we'll shift the idea back to submitted and continue to track the interest. If there are any other developments that could help achieve what you're asking we'll share this with you all, here.

  16. With the bills workflow, we often have the issue that when a purchase is made by credit card or direct debit and the receipt is then sent to hubdoc or Xeros solution it sits in awaiting payment - when really it is awaiting reconciliation. or needs something to identify it as a recurring payment or paid by credit card. When marked as paid in Hubdoc that doesn't synch with Xero and there is no way for book keeper to know how it has been paid and thus we have bills being paid twice and you have to know which are…

  18. At the moment, you can only delete or mark as billed purchase order numbers. However, you cannot see the purchase orders after deleting them. It would be useful to have an archived section in purchase orders.

    We have found that we need to go back an see old purchase orders that did not get billed, whether it is to compare it to the purchase we actually made to see why we didn't go through with the original purchase order.

    Hi everyone, thank you for all your valuable insights of how we could improve Xero inventory to suit your business.

    Atm, we don't have direct plans for providing capability to track assembly inventory within Xero, however our product team are doing some early testing of concepts for being able to bundle inventory in Xero.

  20. The 'new invoicing' option automatically removes any leading carriage returns and leading spaces in the invoice description field.
    This did not occur in the classic version and wonder why it was introduced.
    To enable the details of the invoice to be easily read, it is sometimes necessary to separate line items on the invoice and to indent the actual description.
    Can this 'feature' be removed?
