    Hi Wendell, it'd be good to understand the needs behind your idea here. Is there a specific reason you'd like to be able to send a invoices of different status together? 

    In lieu, you could look at running and exporting the Contact transaction reports to help paint a picture of your customers activity, this could then be sent to them outside of Xero. 

  2. Once a quote is sent or accepted a subsequent change to a client's address should not change the older accepted or sent quotes, they should retain the address used at the time of sending the quote. That way the quotes can be retrieved in the future and the document matches what was sent to the client at that time.

    This is particularly important as quote forms part of a purchase contract and there may be instances where the original quote has to be reproduced for audit or legal reasons.

    Presently if you print a quote again after a few months…

  3. I would LOVE a link back to draft bills & invoices from the approved bill or invoice. When using email to bill and repeating invoices, after approval there is a link to add a new 'whatever'. But there is no single-click option to go straight to drafts to keep processing these. Instead you must click twice to purchases overview and then drafts.

    When processing a large queue of draft bills and invoices, this would be a huge time-saver for me, and I'm sure many others.

  4. Send Statements, Outstanding, Select Date.

    We want to send statements to our clients for invoices that are 30 days overdue - so if I put in the 28th February 2022, Xero brings up a list of all overdue invoices as at that date however some of those invoices have been paid so if I send out the 'Activity Statement' its not a true record of the invoices outstanding.

    I would like Xero to change this so that you can either click on each invoice you want to send out ie the ones that haven't been paid or Xero only shows…

  6. Having recently created a custom invoice template for our business I wanted to include a merge field for payment terms (e.g. "30 days form date of invoice") next to the invoice due date field. Unfortunately customer payment terms, even though a data field in the contact record, is not available to incorporate in a customer invoice template. In my opinion this would be a useful addition to the custom invoice functionality.

  7. In our business we make use of the bill feature to create a legal tax invoice on behalf of our suppliers and currently the Bills don't give me a legal tax invoice?

    Can we get a Bill template created that give us a legal tax invoice made out on behalf of the Supplier for the Supplier? Its called selfbilling and is a feature that is critical to our business as the Supplier dont always know what to invoice and we do this on their behalf and this has been legally agreed with the tax authorities.

  8. 1) When creating a draft invoice, and draft invoice is emailed out, it would be good to see from the 'home' page in the 'draft' folder, which invoices have been emailed. This could simply be an icon of an envelope, for example, that shows on the right hand side when the invoice has been emailed (yes even in draft form).
    2) When viewing an invoice, a 'previous/back' and 'next' button to move to the next sequential invoice number (either forward or back) would be great, rather than having to back to 'draft' or 'awaiting payment' folder and then selecting next…

    Hi Katrina, coming back across your idea here I notice there are 2 distinct ideas wrapped into the one. 

    We try to keep one idea per thread to make it clear for others to know what they're voting for and be able to share this information back with our product teams. 

    When you say next and back buttons - would this be when only viewing an invoice (not taking any action)? Reason being, is that there are Save and Approve options from the drop down that'd allow you to move onto the next invoice in the list or add a new one - More detail on this here

    I'll slightly adjust the title here to reflect your first idea, but are welcome to start another if the current approve and next options are sufficient and we can get a feel for the interest around that separately.

  10. Currently when editing a batch payment we can only tab across to the next cell, it would be good if we can use the arrow keys to move around and edit instead of using your mouse to get to the cell below, or the previous cell etc.

    We appreciate how this could be more intuitive. To confirm how this currently works - Within the body of a batch payment you can use Tab to navigate forward through cells, pressing Enter will enable you to edit the cell and then pressing Enter again will confirm the cells contents(highlighted).

    When the cell is highlighted you'll be able to use the keyboard arrow keys to navigate up, down and across within the body of your batch payment.

  11. I would like to be able to Import a file from a spreadsheet for a bank deposit received. We currently receive 1 bank deposit which will pay 200 invoices over 10 Sales Accounts.

    We currently Import a Spreadsheet file to upload our sales invoices.

    I would like to be able to Import a Spreadsheet file to upload the bank deposit received for 200 plus invoices, this would save a lot of manually typing invoice numbers in when processing the Deposit in XERO.

  12. Have a function that allows Invoice Reminders to be paused over holiday periods (to prevent clients receiving invoice reminders on Christmas Day, Easter etc). Would delay the reminders sending them out after the "holiday" dates had lapsed.

  13. When generating a task based invoice automatically by clicking on 'time and expenses' I really need the ability to automatically have the item self populate or asigned to the task. At the moment as soon as we manually select an 'item' for the task the other fields disappear (description, qty, unit price) rendering the invoice useless and removing any time savings from the feature. Not having this feature really slows down our invoicing process big time!

  14. Ability to assign appointments from outlook into projects as time entries. Narrative of work completed could be put in the appointment and then assigned to the project. The colour of the appointment in outlook would change colour to show its been assigned.

  15. Prompt if Changes have not been SAVED

    What I would like is, after entering data in the Notes (or Items on Invoice, Purchase Orders etc..) If there are changes to the Invoice/Notes (or any update screen) on the screen BUT if the user does not click SAVE then the changes are lost.

    If the invoice/purchase order/notes etc... have had changes and SAVE is not clicked, it would be helpful to have some sort of reminder available that auto prompts you

    'Changes have been made do you want to save these?'

    or something similar so any work entered, but not SAVED…

  17. I wonder if this is possible: After sending a sales invoice to a client there is nothing on Xero stopping me from editing it. I would like to see Xero put something in place whereby once a sales invoice is marked as sent, it should not be possible at all to edit it. If the user needs to edit it, they would need to issue a credit note and new invoice. Also, if the customer requires another copy of the sent invoice it should automatically be marked “Copy”. Is that possible?

    Hi Howard, not on an individual invoice basis, however it might be worth exploring if Lock Dates could be a good way to help prevent  changes to  

    invoices that have been entered to a specific date? 

    Lock dates are limited to certain roles in an org, which would help prevent users with roles outside of these from being able to make changes to transactions within the lock date range. 

  18. it would be ideal if you could have the ability to remove / delete costs in the main information tab in a quote. Ie: If you apply a template with a bunch of costs but realise you need to change it - it would be idea to be able to select multiple costs and just remove them from the quote rather than having to go into each individual cost and deletling.

  20. Currently, one can show the field "InvoiceFeeReimbursed" for a Stripe surcharge on an invoice. However, this is just the gross amount (net + VAT), while one needs to split it and show it properly on a VAT invoice?

    It would be best if the surcharge would be a conditional line itewm on an invoice, with all the settings available just like for any other line.

    For example, let's say an invoice is for a domestic UK customer, the total amount (before a surcharge) being £100 + £20 VAT 20%. Let's say the surcharge is 3%, so £3.60. As I'm not…
