  2. Ability for employees to choose tasks carried out via drop down menu.

    It would be great if companies had the flexibility to customise their own workplace tasks on the timesheets. This way when employees are filling in their timesheets they can choose the task / tasks they have done for that day and then input the respective hours for each task.

    Thanks for raising the idea, team. 

    Right now, we don't have plans for developing the ability to edit Credit Notes within the mobile Accounting app which is where functions like adding files would come in, too. 

    It's good to begin tracking the interest of this here, but want to be upfront with this atm. 

  5. It would be nice when entering transactions, for the date field to remain as the last entered date, at least while staying on the transaction page. It is frustrating having to enter the date each and every time when entering transactions. I understand a lot of people are working in there, in real time, and that it is beneficial that the date is always "todays" date, however, when entering stuff for a client from the previous month, this gets annoying.

  6. When creating sales invoices in Xero, the cut away remittance slip (or "payment advice") appears at the bottom of the invoice, but if your invoice has several line items and therefore goes over one page, the remittance slip still shows on the first page and makes the invoice look disjointed.

    We have played around with the custom invoice feature but because the remittance slip is in the footer of the invoice template, there doesn't seem to be a way for us to manually change this so that it only appears on the last page.

    If Xero could build this feature…

  7. Xero Projects Reporting - fixed charges to be included in Charge Amount column

    We use Xero Projects in our accounting practice to track time / costs for client billing. We have some clients who are on fixed monthly charges (e.g. $1,000 per month). When viewing the Xero Projects reports to track performance for the month so far, the fixed charges do not appear in the Charge Amount column. It would be beneficial if the fixed charges appears in the Charge Amount column, given they will be charged.

  8. In the old quote version, when adding an item it would search just by the item code which was great.

    Now it searches and displays even in the item description, so now end up with a big list to scroll through with description also showing, and especially as the font is bigger.

    Any chance this can be looked into and item search just looks at item code/name, without searching and displaying description,?

  10. Have all tasks automatically marked as invoiced (preferably with invoice number) when they have varying hourly rates and times set within the task. Also ability to mark any task manually as invoiced and assign an invoice number if required.

  11. when a customer accepts a quotation it would be nice to get a notification in the app so that i know earlier that the quote has been accepted rather than finding the email in my junk mail sometimes up to a week later.....

  12. My role as a user is to load my credit card receipts into Purchases/Add Bill. On the template screen I would like to be able to have a "favorite's list" when selecting the "Categorise to an account". Also, all my expenses are to the same Department so it would be great if I could set a default, same with "Select tax rate". Thanks!

    Purpose: To ensure Tax Invoices are SARS compliant (VAT404 Guide - Tax invoices must be sent in encrypted format (at least 128 bytes), over a secure line or contain an electronic signature)

  14. Reports Projects Filter Staff:

    When filtering Project time reports by staff, is it possible to show only currently active (valid) users rather than any and every user ever associated with the account for all time? Can the list be alphabetized?

    Currently the list includes every user that ever existed including every instance of when Xero Support was invited (via a support ticket) as well as staff removed from the practice. Furthermore, it is in a random order.

Can a way be setup to do Invoicing for Drop-Ship items where we do not need to add inventory, but it is automatically calculated when invoiced to Track how many drop-shipments are being sent in a month and track the difference between the vendor price and customer price. Having to manually add to inventory is a lot of work.

  17. I'm an accountant and having advised our clients to adopt using Xero they often come to me with questions. It would be really useful if advisers could view the expenses and projects tabs even if we are are not subscribed to use them so we can help the client with issues.

  19. When I'm posting a payment to a vendor, and I choose a bank account to fund the payment, the accounts look like they're displayed in the order in which I created them. But the checking account I use most often is also my newest account and, therefore, is always displayed at the bottom of the list.

    Two potential solutions:

    • Allow us to choose the order in which the accounts are displayed. (This is my preferred solution)

    • Sort the list alphanumerically.
