  1. The Xero App currently does not allow you to manually edit the tax amount on bills, and therefore in turn means you cannot approve bills with any tax adjustments made via the App.

    I'd like for this to become a feature to save any approvers having to log into Xero in another way just to approve a bill.

  2. I would like to add an "Account Type" called Cash on Hand that would sit as a heading on the Balance Sheet Just like Bank, Curent Assets etc does. We have various sources of this account type, and I would like to group them rather than them sitting in current assets as they currently do. They are not technically bank accounts, so don't want them under that heading.

  3. The profit and loss report has an option to put in the budgeted figures when you edit the layout. Can this option also be introduced to the Cash summary report please. Some of my fruit farmers love to see that figures as well compared to the actual figures.

  5. Hi there! Really loving the "sticky headers" in the new reporting - just so much easier to use and navigate. I wondered whether it would also be beneficial to implement something similar on the other Xero functions. Namely for employee details. Often, I would find that I would click a tab, scroll down and not find the information I was looking for (because it was actually in another tab facepalm), then I would have to scroll back up to the top of the page to select the right tab.   6. Transactions posted after a period end affecting prior periods

    Lock dates had not been set and as a result, there has been a few entries in to the last financial year.
    How can I locate these entries?

    I have tried a transaction report, but there are no parameters that I could enter.
    Ideally.

    Example -
    Our year end is 31st August.
    I would like a report that looks for transactions entered between dates 1/4/22 - 21/9/22 that have a transaction date up to 31.8.21 (last year end)

    Hi Kellie, you might find History & notes useful for getting the insight you're after here. 

    Though it's not possible to filter by the transaction date - You can set a date range like you've mentioned to view activity that has occurred post your orgs year end and ability to filter by Item types so you just view the item types you're interested in.

  10. My client uses personal funds for large part of expenses. I have to enter them manually (using Spend Money) and after each entry the screen defaults back to today's date.
    Would be useful if Xero defaults to the last entered transaction date, when using Spend Money, instead to today's date.

  11. When allocating a credit note to a customer invoice we need to be able to report on this event and no date is stored at the point of allocation.

    In the current system you can see credit notes allocated against invoices only when in the documents as a credit note displays similarly to a bank payment. You can to an extent identify credit notes allocated against invoices by running reports against the Accounts Receivable ledger, filtered by source 'credit note allocation' but you cannot filter this in any way to see recent events.   12. I have a number of Telstra accounts that all come due within a day of each other. Xero can't tell the difference between the rules. I was thinking that when doing reconciliations, where it has the drop down tab "Options" if you could add "Choose a Bank Rule" it would save me having to ignore the wrong rule chosen by Xero and and manually have to fill in the data for the relevant Telstra Account when it comes in.

  13. It would be really helpful if you can add more filters in the Project Summary reports, e.g.. a date range for "Closed Date" so we can report on Projects completed in a specific month. At the moment the date range is based on time entries only.

  14. When manually reconciling a bank clearing account, you have to manually add up the credits that you have ticked to make sure that they add up to the debit that you are reconciling to.
    It would be great if there was a figure showing the total of all items ticked.
    It would work exactly the same as when preparing a batch payment in the Purchases module where the total of all bills ticked is shown at the top.

  15. I have noticed that automatic numbering of accounts is different that what is general used in Canada. There should be a very clear option when starting a new Xero account to select Canadian numbering and an option to change the numbering to Canadian. For Example, in Canada, Assets start with 1, Liabilities start with 2, Equity start with 3, Revenue start with 4, Cost of Sales start with 5, Expenses start with 6,etc...     We are using PCM method for our accounting in which our revenue and expenses recognized are based on the project's progress. Our project work done percentage is based on the costs incurred and the revenue and cost of sales are based on the work done percentage.

  17. Is there the ability to make the cashflow report into an accrual report also so we have one report that can show p&l and capital expenditure with an area for adjusted accounts payable/receivable still outstanding and then projecting the bank balance.

    Currently we use a 12-month P&L and then have to do a separate balance sheet and it doesn't quite hit the mark.

  18. Sometimes small businesses use personal bank accounts or credit cards for business expenses. In order to ensure quick book keeping and reconciliation of business expenses, it is necessary to remove items of personal expenses from these bank feeds. By doing this only those transactions from personal bank feed that are relevant to the business are imported. Personal expenses have to be manually deleted.

  19. It would be useful if the cell size was bigger when entering a Spend Money or Receive Money transaction. The area to type in is only two thirds the size of the cell in the Description box which restricts the amount of information visible. Only two lines of text are visible at a time.

  20. I need to be able to run the "Income and Expenses by Contact" by Due Date rather than by Invoice Date, i.e. I would like to be able to select a date range and then there could be a drop down selection indicating whether these dates are Invoice Dates or Due Dates.

    We are a SaaS company with monthly subscription invoices, and what I am trying to achieve by running the report by Due Date is to report by the usage month which the invoice relates to.
