    Ability to use Azure Active Directory for MFA.

    Hi community, we appreciate many businesses have adopted single sign on with providers like Google, Microsoft Azure/Entra, and Okta to easily streamline logins to many applications and manage operational risk. Our team are staying close to votes and feedback of the idea here, and though we can't commit to development at this time, we will be sure to let you know of any progress toward enabling single sign on

    Ability to rename the files in Xero Files once it’s attached.

    Purpose: To make other users in Xero (the one that doesn’t upload the file) can easily identify the file without having to click it.

  3. Xero Mail - Send as @company-name.com not message-service@post.xero.com

    Ability to make an email sent from Xero appear as @company-name.com instead of message-service@post.xero.com, when users send an email to their client/customer.

    Purpose: To provide more validity when sending communications from Xero out to clients/customers and avoid items ending up in Spam/Junk mail.

    Hi community, thanks for sharing your continued interest here. We appreciate the importance of having assurance that mail you send from Xero is being received, and that being able to send from your own company email would increase confidence in this process.

    I can confirm this idea has been regularly reviewed by our product teams, and being able to send from your own company email is on their radar. Currently there are other priorities, and platform work that requires their attention, before they can consider this more deeply.

    We'll move the idea back to submitted so we can continue to gauge the interest through votes here. When there is opportunity to pick this up, I will share any news with you all here.

    Hi everyone, a few different asks within the idea here and I'd like to confirm what is currently possible to help clarify. 

    We have recently released a new send modal with new invoicing - with this update you now have the ability to cc and Bcc emails when sending individual invoices from Xero with new invoicing. 

    While it's not possible to set default cc and Bcc email at the email template level at present this may be something we look into further down the line and we will keep you updated of any planned improvements through this idea. 

    For the time being, if there are other people for a contact that you'd like to ensure also receive emails you can add them as additional people to the Contact record and select to 'Include this person in emails sent to this contact'

    Have a log or register of all emails sent from a Xero organisation with detail of content, recipients, senders, and date of send.

    Purpose: Validity when being queried by customers about a transaction, verifying payments and collecting debtor payments. Proof of interaction.

  8. Multicurrency - Support for new currencies & Bitcoin

    To have the ability to add additional currencies that are not on the standard list.

    Purpose: Business accept payments in Bitcoin and have no way to add that to the currency list. This would allow the ability to calculate tax, profit, and loss from the currency/cryptocurrency that the business is using.

    Hello I am the product manager for the group within Xero which looks after the currency capability.

    I follow the digital currency space closely, I find it incredibly interesting both sociologically as well as technically. However as a product manager my role is to ensure that my engineering group works on the things that create the most value, for the most people, and in alignment with the company's long term goals and aspirations.

    Digital currencies continue to have an extremely passionate, but also extremely small group of users who want to see them handled in Xero. The cost remains very high for us to deliver this feature, and does not make a difference to enough peoples lives to justify that investment. There are a lot more touchpoints than many people appreciate to implement crypto properly. Huge decimal precision, UX, currency rate feeds, revaluation logic, reporting - all need changes to…

Our teams are aware of the interest in this and will consider for future enhancements, however we want to upfront that there are no immediate plans just yet.     Hi community, as many will have seen in our updates about new invoicing we’ve been releasing many improvements to the new experience including keyboard shortcuts that will also interest many in the idea here. 

    At the end of 2024, we made an update so all date entry shortcuts will now also work within new invoicing. Along with this and listening closely to our customers feedback, we’ve most recently delivered some new keyboard shortcuts specifically for new invoicing. These shortcuts help users quickly perform common actions while invoicing to save the need of using your mouse and clicking around. Shortcuts include things like; different options when Approving or updating your invoice, being able to Preview, or Print your invoice, through to sending your invoice to a customer.     Hi team, while not relevant to all areas of Xero atm. As we continue to develop the product you'll find there are many places where teams are beginning to add improvements to behaviours such as Xero remembering your last selection. 

    For example, in the Products and Services page(Inventory items) if you make a change to the number of items shown, and navigate away from the page when you return this selection is remembered. A couple of exceptions to this is when you change browsers, or if you're using incognito mode or a private browsing page. 

    We appreciate there are more places across Xero you'd like to see these behaviours and we'll keep you updated of more improvements here.
