Workpapers - Rearrange support documents in workpaper
Support documents uploaded to a workpaper are listed at the bottom of a workpaper in the order they are uploaded in, it would be a handy feature to be able to reorganise uploaded documents as needed for ease of review and keeping items in say account or alphabetical order.

The ability to change the term of the write off schedule in the Borrowing Costs/Amortisation workpaper for situations where clients have loans of a longer or shorter term than the set 60 month period.

Workpapers - Client Queries
We are using the 'Client Queries' function for the first time this year.
In Workpapers, each time a request for information is sent to a client, the 'Queries History' logs that an email was sent to the client, however there is no record of the content of the email sent for the client.
We usually would save all emails to clients on file so that anything can be clarified if needed, but have noticed there is no ability to view the email content.

Workpapers - Ability to add a note function to each account
Add a note function to each account. Similar to the queries button but just for general notes about what's in the account that doesn't need a resolution. This would be helpful near the account rather then just at the start in the job note section as it would allow quick access for others to see the note when looking at the specific account.

Workpapers - Option to show Decimal Places
When using Xero Workpapers, it imports the figures across from the Xero client file without decimals. Therefore, when I'm comparing these figures in Workpapers to client reports and bank statements these are often slightly out.
Can you please update Workpapers so that there is an option to show decimal places?

It would be good to have a discussion or description section against each line item in the Analytical review workpaper. Allowing for "oddities" to be cleared. Making the review process easier.

Workpapers - Include square metre rate calculation for home office workapapers
Re the home office workpaper. It seems to calculate soley on a percentage basis yet under DB 18AA, we can claim interest/rent and rates in proportion of business use, as well as $47.85 (for 2022 and future years) per square metre (PSMR) (IRD square meterage rates) as a proxy for general home expenditure. There doesn't seem to be a workaround in the workpaper to opt for the PSMR for the general expenditure claim? I would like to claim the higher of the two calculations for my clients' thanks and would love to see the workpaper work out the better of…

We use Xero HQ Ask queries for our client questionnaires.

Enable use for non-Xero clients
For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use Workpapers by importing client trial balances. Kindly update when this feature will be available.

Workpapers - Floating 'Refresh' button as you scroll
Would be great if there was a second "Refresh from Xero" button in Xero Workpapers when preparing the workpaper pack. Idea being that the button stays constant as you scroll down the page with a large volume of accounts. This saves having to scroll back up the top of the page and scroll back to the account you were working on.

Xero Workpapers | Customise Workpaper Status
We would like to have the ability to either customise the Status fields in the Workpapers. Or alternatively have the client Group appear next to the Organisation Name on the main Workpapers page, so we can easily see the client groups.

XPM workpapers - Additional field to Hide Resolved Queries
Enable feature allowing users to Hide resolved queries, so only outstanding queries are showing and user does not have to spend time locating outstanding queries to resolve.

XPM workpapers - After document is closed, you are navigated to the prior page with original conditions.
Make it so that when the document is closed, it returns to the same page with the same selection conditions that were before working in this document?

XPM Prior year workpaper - Ability to define in another colour.
Prior year workpapers - would you be able to change colour for financial years for workpapers. I refer to prior year workpapers to complete a job. It would be helpful to have different colours for current and prior year Xero workpapers to avoid confusion when both open at once.

Reports - Highlight previously viewed transaction on list/report
Restore function where the previously viewed transaction is highlighted in a darker or different colour so you know where you are on a list of transactions. It used to be there but it has now gone :(

Workpapers - Retaining Shareholder renaming Titles to following year
When working on Shareholder Current Accounts - How can we make 'Shareholder' retain the new titles we give them eg Shareholder 1 - J Bloggs Shareholder 2 -T Bloggs each year we open up a new workpaper we have to key in the titles all over again. We use the 'Trial Balance - Edit' There may be a place we can go to to make the titles retain and would love to know how. If not perhaps something your team could work on.

Workpapers - Customised by Entity type
Xero workpapers should change depending on entity type selected. It appears that the selection of entity type in workpapers only serves to customise the query gallery and has no bearing on the actual workpapers created. An number of examples of this can be seen whereby selecting the trust entity type, the workpaper pack incorrectly contains M & M2 imputation credits, N Shareholders Current Account should be named N Beneficiary Current Account, and most significantly L - Income Tax does not contain a defined field for tax credits allocated on beneficiary income (instead users are having to use the free form…
