Client queries - Uploading to specific line item
Xero workpaper functionality that allows clients to submit their query responses against a specific line item, rather than the paper tab. Currently, it is difficult to determine which account the supporting document is for.
Hi everyone, we're pleased to share new Xero Workpapers that'll be coming soon and encompasses many features we know our customers have desired.
With our new solution collaboration on year-end and compliance tasks will be much smoother - You'll be able to upload documents directly to the specific items you need to review, meaning you no longer have to wonder which email a document should be attached to.
When you need a document, like a bank statement or an invoice, we'll send you a secure query, so you can log into a simple portal, see exactly what we need, and upload the file right there. We'll automatically attach your document to the correct line item, creating a clear and organised record for review and audit purposes.
We're just starting release of this to Australia, and will keep everyone updated as this increases here. For now, you can read more about the new solution on our Xero blog.

Yes, I agree that this would be great functionality. However. the functionality would need to be streamlined to ensure that it was not too onerous for the client (i.e. how queries can be viewed, how queries are marked as complete, ability to attach files, ability to copy and paste responses, etc.).

If the client could submit supporting document to the right account, it will save us time searching documents in FYI. The only concern is we need to download docs from Xero workpaper and upload to FYI
