AU Tax - Field to view Tax return status and whether started in tax report
This is to do with Custom Reports and should be little effort for a good result.
I note that after discussions with Xero the [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns field is only available in the Client Returns report. It would be great to have [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns in the Tax Return report area so you could generate a report on which returns have been started, in addition to the current status of the ones that have been started (ie Draft, Complete, Lodged) at the moment we can only see if a tax return has been created or not.

Expand the permissions of preparing tax returns, by separating the unlock function of a tax return into 3 stages:
1) Complete
2) Approve, out to sign, archive
3) FiledThe separation of duties can then be clearly identified in firms, from the following:
(1) being the worker,
(1) & (2) being the manager/director, and
1), (2), & (3) being tax lodger administration and high level management. -

It would be good to be able to filter the Tax Home Page by Not-lodged/Not-Filed.
We can view the Filed on one tab, but to see ALL Not-Yet-Filed returns we need to go between Draft, Completed, Approved, To sign & To file tabs.
In the All tab it includes Filed. There is no way of removing the Filed from this tab.
It would be great to be able to see all outstanding returns in one place without seeing ones already completed. -

Would be great to have a field option in the Report Builder that can show if a Tax Return was prepared as a 'Final Tax return'.
