    Hi community, we really appreciate your feedback on this and hearing why you'd like to be able to change the organisation's name that's shown when sending invoices from Xero.

    This is on our teams radar, and is something they may look into longer term however we want to be open that it's not in the current roadmap.

    We'll continue to track and keep across the interest from our community, and if there's any news to share we'll update you on this, here.

    Hi team, pleased to share that this is a feature that will be coming with the new Xero Homepage! Once released it will be an option available from the bill drop down within the Bills to pay widget 😊. I'll round back to share as it becomes available in orgs.

    Hi everyone, with the recent changes in Xero Product ideas, we will shift this idea to Not in pipeline to set the expectation here.

    While a direct option to restore or unwind an organisation to a previous date in time isn't in our plans, as previously mentioned to confirm - Xero performs daily backups of customer data to protect against data corruption and hosting service failures. However, these backups are not available for users to restore their organisation to a previous state.

    To reiterate from my last response, most actions in Xero are reversible (for example Remove & Redo on bank transactions) and our help article on Xero Central  explains some of these options that can help with needs expressed in this conversation.

    The History & Notes report can be highly useful to review actions recently made so you can 'undo' these.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the engagement in this idea overtime. Being transparent, we don't have any plans for enabling the ability to work across multiple organisations at a time.

    Allowing multiple organisations to be open in one browser session creates risk of entering data for one organisation in another that'd create a permanent audit trail in the wrong place.

    However, as shared by some here there are workarounds;

    • You can use separate web browsers or incognito windows for each organisation, or
    • Create multiple profiles within a browser like Chrome.

    Both these options provide safer process for accessing different organisations at once.

    If we make any plans to revisit this in the future we'll update this idea to share with you all here.

    Hi community, some time on from my last update we'd love to share further developments in this space with you here.

    Since the rollout of our new Files inbox experience, our product teams are continue to enhance and grow out it's functionality across Xero.

    For UK organisations we recently launched Smart document capture with intentions of rolling this out to all other regions soon. With Smart document capture Xero will automatically create documents for you to review from within Xero Files. So, while a contact will be required Xero will do a lot of the manual work for you and ensure the file remains attached to the created invoice 🙂

    On the flip side we also have a team that is currently exploring how we might solve for wider needs around invoice details that are captured outside Xero and how to gets these in and automate the workflow for you.…

    Being able to see the file after choosing it from Files then adding it to a new invoice is critical. Having to open the file in a new window and moving it around the screen so I can see to input information into the invoice seems like a step backwards to me. Please fix this so the preview panel is on the left like the old invoicing system. It makes for a much more seamless system.

    In the old version of invoicing you are able to add an invoice straight from the file library and preview the file for which you are creating the invoice. In new invoicing the feature has been removed which adds complexity into a workflow. It seems strange to remove this feature. Please put this back into new invoicing.
