Thanks for your expressions and feedback in a bulk download or print facility for Files (either from the Files library or at an individual transaction level)
We know that bulk operations can be handy, however at this time we have no plans to develop this functionality. We know it might seem like a small feat, however often even small change is more tightly woven and intricate to solve beneath the surface.
While we understand this must be frustrating to hear, we’re currently focused on making improvements in other areas of Xero and are unable to prioritise a bulk download or print feature right now.
However, in situations like these there are often connected apps through the Xero App Store that may be able to assist. We appreciate and will revise solutions that could fulfil needs in this space, but want to be honest this isn’t something we have plans for…An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment John Yates commentedHence why I don’t use that upload function anymore. Ridiculous.
An error occurred while saving the comment John Yates commentedThis is a major flaw in the software provision. It is critical!!
This is so critical that following
my call/email to xero many months back I immediately and totally stopped uploading documents. I now save them to a completely different folder for later use.Summary … the existence of this issue is ridiculous. Sort it out please Xero, and fast!

You said ... "At each calendar month / financial year end, we able to export/download all the files at year end, which perfectly align with the reconciled records."
Are you able to download and save a full transaction listing with all the invoice attachments as well??
Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment John Yates commentedThis is needed urgently. Its required for audit purposes, document retention, and document retention in he event that you no longer require Xero.
John Yates supported this idea ·
Well its a little less automated i guess, but im just saving the documents in a folder on my computer/laptop, all saved and backed up using onedrive.
At least then when i eventually stop using xero, i have the documentation required to be retained, without having to get them individually from the system later (can you imagine !!!!!).
The current situation is totally unacceptable. Even for something as simple as a tax office audit, to get the documents required would be far too time consuming.
