Hey team, just wanted to give you a quick update on this idea that's been in "Under review" for a bit.
While we did explore this further, we unfortunately had to put it on hold for now. We totally get how improving these connections would help you here.
It is still on our radar, and as soon as we can dedicate more focus to it, I'll share any news and progress with you.

Hi everyone, we’ve taken time to review the suggestion to include custom fields for both invoices and contacts, and recognise the value it'd bring in helping users capture more detailed information and avoid manual processes.
However, with other focuses drawing the teams attention such as multiple addresses this idea is not on our current development roadmap.
As we continue to plan future roadmaps, being highly supported this idea will continue to be considered, however we want to be open about it's current position with you all here. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and for your ongoing participation in the Xero community. Any changes to this status will be shared with everyone on this idea.

I have a few cases where clients have setup an ATO connection to lodge their own BASs via Xero, which is great.
The problem I have is many clients only do monthly IAS (wages tax only), where we as agents do the full quarterly BASs, and prepare them via Xero's tax program XPM.
I however cannot mark a BAS as 'final' or 'complete', I can only save as draft or lodge it via Xero. I don't want to lodge it via Xero, I want to put it in XPM, so the client gets a copy to review, and sign it as proof of acceptance.
Please add an option to 'finalise' or 'complete' the BAS without lodging, like we can with payruns. This is essential as it gives the appearance of not doing the BAS (which we do), and more importantly - it's vital to make the unfiled amounts option work.
