Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you explaining how important more flexible user permissions are for your businesses. We understand having granular control over who can create, submit, and approve quotes and purchase orders could help many of you implement better internal controls and protect sensitive financial information.

This idea is now moving to In Discovery, which means our product team are reviewing the viability of the idea as part of wider development of the permissions/user role functionality in Xero. We'll keep you updated here as we learn more.

My client has many subcontractors who raise invoices to them for their time. By allowing the subcontractors to submit purchase orders for approval AND view other purchase orders, I also must give them access to purchase invoices - so they can see each other's pay. This is not ideal and instead I am going to have to go back through all of their invoices and rename them to REDACTED in the hopes that they do not figure out whose invoice is whose. This lack of financial privacy is not good enough, and you would expect an organisation of Xero's size to be aware of this issue, yet it appears this was raised 3.5 years ago and I am still being redirected here to "suggest" the idea.
