Hi everyone, we appreciate how automatically sending statements could improve cash flows, and save the manual efforts involved in this periodic task.
We recognise the importance of this functionality, and with a clear focus on decreasing the time it takes for our customers to receive payments, I’m pleased to share that this idea is now In discovery. 😊
While we can’t give any commitments to development yet, this is a good step in the right direction and we’ll be sure to update you on progress from the exploration here. Thanks!

As an interim solution (while we wait for Xero do this natively), there is a plugin on the Xero App store called "Statey".
It syncs your Xero data and generates automated monthly/weekly customer statements and saves all the email receipts.
Yes, it costs some money, but its something for those in need while we wait.

Hey Juan
Totally agree. There is a plugin called "Statey" on the Xero App store. It allows you to setup a recurring schedule, and apply 'smart' filters like only sending to people that are overdue, or outstanding.
Check it out.

Hey Karen
You should check out "Statey" on the Xero App Store.
It's a plugin for Xero that automatically sends statements to your customers.
You can customise the schedule to run weekly/monthly, and you can tweak the format of the statement itself.
It can also send based on 'smart filters', like only sending statements to customers with an overdue or outstanding amount.

Hey Hana and Taneta
You can setup automated statement runs with the "Statey" plugin. It can automatically exclude people who are paid-up, and you can permanently exclude people that don't want statements.
Check it out in the Xero app store.

We've been wanting this for many years, and so we decided to build and share a plugin that does this. Check out https://www.statey.app
We're not Xero. Just a small team of software developers scratching our own itch, and sharing it with anyone else that would find it useful :)

Theres a new plugin for Xero that does this called Statey:
It can be configured to send weekly, or monthly. It also enables you to customise the statement with things like 30-60-90 day aging.

Hi everybody, coming across from the previous forums we know this idea has a lot of interest.
There is a way of using Xero's reports to accomplish what you're asking here and save the format so you can easily access and send this report to your customers outside of Xero.
Running the Aged Receivables detail report you can choose how many ageing periods you'd like to show and set the period to '30 days'. Simply Filter the report by Contact and Update to run.
- Once you've got it set up, save as Custom so you can easily access this format anytime
- If you deal with groups of contacts this also means you could Filter for multiple contacts to combine the view into one report rather than multiple customer statements 🙂
- Export the report to PDF, where you can send to customers from your email system outside of Xero
We appreciate…

Hey all. There is a new plugin on the Xero app store called "Statey" that makes this automatic and easy.
I know the spirit of this thread is that it should be part of Xero. But at least there is now a 3rd-party plugin that makes this easy, even if it does cost a couple of bucks.
It also enables the much requested 'automatic statement send outs' feature.
A solid interim solution for those in desperate need of this.

Check "Statey" on the Xero App store.
It adds this aging table to the statement. And it can send them automatically each month or week.

It adds the 30-60-90-day aging to statements. And allows you to customise the calculation to be based on invoice or due date.
It can also automatically send the statement to all overdue customers.

Theres a plugin that can do this, and automate the sending of statements. Check out https://www.statey.app
It allows you to pick how you want to calculate the breakdown. Eg: by invoice date or due date. And whether you want to bucket by exact days passed, or by calendar months.

Hey Mark, Theres a plugin for Xero that does this (see https://www.statey.app)
You can set it to email an "outstanding" statement to all customers with overdue amounts weekly or monthly.
Hey @barry
Take a look at "Statey" on the Xero app store.
It automates statement runs, with smart lists so that it doesn't spam people that haven't traded with you recently.
