Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important automated holiday pay calculations are for you.

We’re updating the status of this idea to Accepted to show it's formally on our radar.

While we’ve already explored several options to automate holiday pay calculations, for the time being this is not a feature we have planned in our roadmap.

We understand some of you are managing these calculations manually. We’d suggest running the Payroll Activity Summary or Gross to Net report over a 52 week period to assist with these calculations.

We’re grateful for your feedback and will continue to monitor interest here.

When employees are being assessed for auto enrolment, Xero advises at the point of posting that a letter is now due for those who have been assessed as eligible.
This should be widened so that Xero advises us of all employees who have been assessed in this payroll run and have been categorised as non eligible or entitled so that we are reminded to send the appropriate letters. Otherwise we have to keep track of the whole eligibility process.
It should also be recorded on the employees record when any of these letters were sent to the employees regardless of whether they are postponement or the different categories of assessment letters. Currently there is absolutely no record of if they have been sent from Xero or by any other means.

Thanks for this feedback on how pension enrollment currently works in Xero payroll. It’s been a little while since you raised this idea, so we wanted to check in. We can see this idea has been steadily gaining support. Our product team are keeping an eye on this idea and we will continue to share updates as things evolve.

In the meantime, here's a tip to trigger pension assessment before posting the pay run:

    1. With the pay run in draft click Post.
    2. When the Automatic pension enrolment pop up displays, click Confirm.
    3. On the Complete Pay Run pop up, click Cancel.
    4. You can now open the draft payslip or download pay run reports with the pension deductions included.

Hi Alison, just a comment here as I see your question.
Unfortunately the legislation states that an employee has to be enrolled and registered with the pension provider before they can then opt out. That is not something that Xero are only insisting on.
