Yes, I would use a reducing balance deduction function in the payroll quite happily. I have had this function available in previous payroll software I have used, such as PC School and it was very helpful. I am currently processing a regular post tax deduction each pay cycle for a staff member and would have appreciated being able to set it up to just automatically process it until the target balance was met. Thank you.

This would be helpful when not only checking SGC for the year, but when calculating termination payments for the payroll tax annual return and workers compensation annual declaration of wages. I would really appreciate seeing unused leave paid on termination displayed on a separate line in the payroll activity summary report.
Our accountant has sent me this page from Xero that might be helpful, although I will have to wait for a future termination to test it and see how it comes out in the reports. I am hopeful this is the work around for Xero not recognising and separating unused leave paid on termination by default.
