An error occurred while saving the comment Heide Baer commentedAgeed this would be fantastic. I've tried building report but no project information is available in custom reports that I can see.
Also, it would be great to have the ability to attach the project to a repeating invoice so that I don't have to audit for this.
Alternatively, the ability to add a column in the invoice module to show project assigned to each invoice.
Unsure which option is easier to implement, but any/all would be fantastic!Heide Baer supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Heide Baer commentedThanks for supporting this idea Anna - I think a new project doesn't even fix the problem: because the charge rates are practice-wide. I've been thinking the way around is to publish the profitability reports over the date range of the current rates, then update for new rates. You just have to remember that actual costs of older projects should be viewed in published reports, and can't be viewed live or on a new/modified report. (Which is less than ideal!)
An error occurred while saving the comment Heide Baer commentedI agree - this would be an important feature.
My alternative suggestion, if effective dates cannot be associated with cost rates, would be to be able to adjust/set staff cost rates by Project - or right in the Task (eg, list of staff with access and default cost rates showing, with the ability to customize).
FYI I have a client that needs this right now, but if it ever does make it into the pipes for development, I'd appreciate a notification :)

Agreed; I love the arrows usually, but would like to be able to turn them off, especially when making a custom variance field that has nothing to do with budgeting!~
I acknowledge, though, that the workaround here is to build that variance column using a formula column, and then there are no arrows!
